Okay... normally when I turbo Wazdakka, I usually only fire either his Dakkaguns or Dakkakannon (so that he get's the 3+ cover save).

I played a tournament today and my opponent was surprised that I only fired his Dakkakannon. He told me that Wazzie can fire all of his weapons.

What the FETH!!!??!??!

Now mind you this is my opponent tell me this (what?!!?!). He proceeded to tell me that in the Ork Codex in Wazzie's description of "The Bike of the Aporkalyspe" that "When Wazdakka uses a Turbo Boost he may still fire his weapons that turn." Weapons... as in plural... it says that "he may"... as in having a choice to fire his weapons...

He is armed with a KMB, Dakkakannon and Dakkagun... my opponent preceeded to tell me to fire all those weapons. I didn't do that since I've always played it by only choosing one of the three weapons to shoot.

However, I remember reading somewhere in BRB that you can only fire one weapon (where is that? page? I can't find it).

Or... is this a case that Codex trumps BRB?

I know I've seen other non-vehicle models being able to shoot more than one weapon... like the Dark Angels "Attack Bike"... but, the DA Codex says the Attack Bike can shoot both weapons (MM and Bolters). So there seems to be precedent...

Irregardless, I'll continue to play Wazzie by just shooting one weapon during the turbo boost.

I'm curious what ya'll think?

Your friend seems to be right.

Dude.... SERIOUSLY!!! I've been playing Wazzie wrong?

That'd make him worth his points... albeit... it's still BS2.

Yeah, the fact he's BS2 balances it out, I think. For instance, MEQ captain on bike with plasma cannon and tl bolters that can shoot both after boosting... No.

Most folks don't like Wazzie because a regular fully decked out warboss on a bike is cheaper and much better than Wazzie(less wounds and not as strong). And making Warbiker troops isn't all that unless you go all biker army. I don't, I field two units of warbikers and 4 trukks full of boys... so, troops ain't the problem.

I didn't know about the MEQ captain on the bike...

Thanks for your input.

The default condition in 40k is that a non-vehicle model can only fire one weapon on any given turn, and if it has more than one is has to choose. Some units have special rules allowing them to fire more than one (like Monstrous Creatures, or Terminators with Cyclone Launchers).

Does Wazdakka have a rule that he can fire multiple weapons when moving at normal speed?

If not, then my interpretation would be that when he Turbos you may fire any one of his "weapons" as normal.

No... he doesn't have a special rule to file multiple weapons when moving normally... hence why I play as only firing one weapon.

I found it a curious statement...
