I just ordered one of these to replace my old one (some of the serrations cracked off during dummy training):
And they sent me three of them while only charging for one.
Let this be a thread of Amazon (order service, women, jungle, or river!), and knife collecting!

I ordered a copy of Red November from Amazon. By mistake they sent me a retailer pack of six boxes. I contacted Amazon and arranged to send five back.
It was such a hassle making these arrangements -- they couldn't seem to understand what I was talking about -- that I decided the next time they make a mistake in my favour, I'll just keep the spares.

They have since told me to ship them back the spares, at my expense. I have no intention of doing so. The knife was already 3 days late, despite paying for 1-day shipping (so I could collect it, signature and all).

Under English law, if a company sends an unsolicited item, it has to pay for collection or return, otherwise the item becomes the recipient's lawful property after a certain amount of tim.

I bought "Tales of Radiant Mythology" for the PSP once.
They sent me "Heroes of Might and Magic V: Gold Edition" for the PC.
I ended up keeping it because it got me a present for my Mum on her birthday. Plus it was like half the price of buying the actual game.
But damn, quite a mix up on their part.

I once bought a SM battleforce and the codex on Amazon. They sent me a SM Battleforce and AOBR!
God I love it when things go horribly right.

I pre-ordered a copy of World of Warcraft: Cataclysm on the 2nd of December that was guarenteed delivery on the 7th of December (when it was released).
I'm still waiting for the original order. (They sent a replacement and told me to send back the original when it comes; it has not.)

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.
Excerpt from "Seeress of Kell", Book Five of The Malloreon series by David Eddings.

I work all day and don't have trustworthy neighbours. When Amazon send me stuff I normally have to get it resent to arrive on a Saturday, costing a few quid. Now and again they thoughtfully split an order into several packages so I get them sooner meaning I have to pay extra to get each one redelivered.
Thanks Amazon!

Why not just have it shipped to the post office, and then pick it up there?

Or shipped to your work.
Or set up a mailbox at your local UPS store or FedEx Office and have stuff shipped there.
Or have UPS or FedEx hold it at the distribution center and you can go pick it up.
