Do I have to mount my Tau Devilfish tanks on the flying stands?
They have landing gear, which they can be placed on, and I don't like flying stands.
Because they sit so low to the ground, there really isn't much of a difference in height.
Skimmers measure to their hull anyway, so nothing in the rules would be affected.

I actually lost the flying stands to my Hammerheads. I've used the landing gears ever since. However setting it on sand-covered tables tend to scratch the paint, so I just prefer the clear stands to protect against that.

LOS can become an issue, however in the end if it really becomes a problem just hold the vehicle up some for LOS purposes. Or make a better flying base, google some convert ions.

Wouldn't make a big difference to me; it's not like they're Valkyries where omitting the base is both illegal and irritating.

Well technically, I think there is a rule for landing gear, but it doesn't really matter. You could stand your model on it's landing gear and simply say it is floating.
