... use the money they get from Live to hire better Help resources .
Long story short, my Xbox 360 won't allow me to purchase items off the marketplace. When I load up the Marketplace and select the game I would like to see downloads for, I get an error Code and it promptly goes back to the Game Selection screen. I sent them an E-mail that goes something like this:
Hello, I have been having a problem with my Marketplace. When I select a game to download, it tells me "There has been an Error. Error Code: #############". I know it is a problem with Marketplace, as I can still download items from in game stores, like the "Press X for Downloadable Content" option found in certain games. If you could get back to me about what this Error Code is and how to correct it, I would be much appreciated.
-Slarg
The Response I got?
Thank you for contacting Xbox Live Support, Slarg! I wish to help you resolve this matter quickly, perhaps you should clean out your fans with that spray-in-a-jar (My words not hers), make sure your Xbox is getting ample ventilation room, and make sure it is not overheating. I hope these will resolve your problem.
-Jennifer
So I shoot it back:
Jennifer, Thank you for your quick response. I, however, have already tried the basics, and I am still receiving Error Code ########### when I go to download from the Marketplace. I was wondering if you could give me what this error code means and how to correct it, as I would be much apreciative of it.
-Slarg
This is truely facepalm worthy:

If you have a ps3 you can get it there also have you tried disconnecting it for a couple hours from the power I've heard it helps. Also have you tried a new gold account.(I don't mean buy one I was thinking a free trial one or some such.)

Some awesome help right there. Maybe try turning it upside down so the megabytes flow through the cable faster.

No offence to the Aussies and Kiwis, but by you placing the Crashbox upside down it would be the right way up?

I've had a few bug issues with the marketplace. I just disconnected everything (including the internet) let it sit for 10-15 mins then powered everything back up.

No matter what you stupid British people think , it would be upside down, and thus have gravity assist in the collection and stealing of the internet. I cannot believe the secret was leaked.....now the almighty God of the Internet, also known as Google, will desert us!
Us in Australia have been planning this a long time......we need to, the internet here is horrific.

Laugh all you want, when I used to install cable, I would have to tell people things like that. They would SWEAR I did something wrong because X wasnt working as fast now that Im done. So Id say, well flip X upside down for a few days, itll speed things up and then just flip it back over. Its basically to break it in.
Worked everytime.

Figured out a work-around: I have to go to Xbox.com and download it from there, which then transfers it over to my Xbox Active Downloads. It's a pain, but at least I can acess the content now.
Stacking is pretty fun and has the Legendary Schaffer Wit to it, just FYI.
