Hello everyone,

First post and all that .

This blog will cover everything Orky I'm working on. I've only just started painting my models, but I've been collecting Orks a good few years. As a result I've built up a very large force, which is still growing! I'm really after as much comments and criticism (constructive of course) as I can get, this is the first army I've ever tried to paint and complete.

The army will be primarily speed freak based, with the initial 1500 points being aimed at a battlewagon brigade. This will, hopefully, be a competitive force I intend to use for a campaign a friend is organising.

Wartfang is the Warboss of his speed freak tribe, 'da dust storm' so called because a giant dust storm heralds their approach. His favourite hobbies include Krumpin stuff, covering grots in squig oil setting them alight and racing them, going really, really, really fast and... Krumpin more stuff. He intendeds to unite ‘his’ snow covered world under his steely tracks and then, following the footsteps of his hero Wazzdakka, ride across the galaxy stomping stuff. He’s just going to do it more better! Waaagh!

Below are pictures of Wartfang. I need to work on my photography skills but as I’m new to it I’m sure I’ll get better with time.

Looking forward to C&C, on both the models and photo taking.

Very nice, liking the background fluff too. Can't really think of any suggestions really it's a nice clean paint job. The only thing is the yellow on the power klaw cables looks abit odd to me but thats just personnal preference. God start can't wait to see more

Thanks for the feedback guys.

@Killmaimburnkillmaimburn, you’re not the only one to say the yellow looks odd on the power cable. A few guys in my gaming group have echoed your thoughts. It is something I think I’ll change in the future, but as I’m on a fairly tight timescale getting my army ready for the campaign it will have to wait.

@Boyz ”R” Us, I really like the well defined yellow you’ve done for your Badmoons. What colour do you paint your yellow onto?

I’m currently painting some Nobz to help keep Wartfang safe. Should have some photos to post in the next few days provided I pull my finger out and I get the correct lighting.

Thanks WhoopieMonster, I undercoat the mini with GW Chaos Black undercoat spray, then use slightly watered down Iyanden Darksun, two seprate coats with no wash, sorry for the late reply just saw this post.

The smell of squig oil is starting to lure more and more boyz to Wartfangs cause. Its a well known fact that 'proper' speed freaks can smell squig oil from miles away. A 'friendly' 'eadbutt later and these Nobs are welcomed to Waaagh Wartfang!

Here is some WIP stuff I'm working on at the moment.

Some of the Nobs that will join those above to form a squad.

I'll be using this biker model as a Warboss on a bike or Wazzdakka Gutsmek.

Having had real life leap in the way of everything I find fun, I've finally found some time to pick up the hobby again. Wartfang seems to have lead his Waaagh! into a large cave (cupboard!) so as a result I'm trying my hand at a Blood Angel. He is still a wip, but thought I'd share for some feed back
