Here's A New List That's Been Improved From My Older List, Is This Better?
Also On The Last Part Of The List, TL Flamer Crisis Or 2 Sniper Drone Teams? If I dropped the Crisis and 2 Kroot I could afford them
HQ:
Shas'o Firestorm 162
Plasma Rifle, Missile Pod, Shield, H/W Multi Tracker, H/W Drone Controller, Marker Drone (For Bodyguard)
2 Bodyguard 176
Plasma Rifles, Burst Cannons, Shields, H/W Multi Trackers
Troops:
12 Fire Warriors 160
Shas'ui, Marker Drone
12 Fire Warriors 160
Shas'ui Marker Drone
21 Kroot 162
15 Carnivores, Shaper, 6 Hunds
Elites:
3 Crisis 150 (Flexible, Mixed Roles)
Fusion Blasters, Burst Cannons, Multi Trackers
3 Crisis 138
TL Flamers, Drone Controllers, 3 Shield Drones
Heavy:
3 Broadsides 225
Target Locks
Hammerhead 165
Railgun, BC's, Multi Tracker, Disruption Pod
I Understand that you need to have a lot of Crisis for Tau, Is this enough?

Not to be a dick, but I thought we covered this here: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/346490.page
My statements in that thread still stand.
Regarding the list in question, the HQ is way too expensive and your troop choices are awful and you don't have enough crisis suits. You should be running 12 in every list until you hit sub-1500 point games. Furthermore, the kit on your elite suits is nonsensical. Burst cannons and fusion blasters with shield drones? What is that unit gonna do except die? Because it certainly won't kill anything other than guardsmen standing out in the open. You might cut open a tank or two, but I doubt it. I honestly don't see how this list is any better than the last. I mean, if you're telling me that the only models you have are what you have listed, then I can understand that. But at least make the kit on your suits decent. If you're running broadsides, they should have either the slow and purposeful war gear or the +1 BS war gear. Then you can upgrade the leader and give him a hard wired target lock. The elite suits should have TL missile pods with the targeting array (at this point level at least) and you should cut all the worthless war gear off your HQ, and that includes ditching the shield generator and the drones. Ditto for the bodyguard; they should have plasma/missile pod. Then, if you really want to run fire warriors, run MSU's and mount them in d-fish so they can run around and cap objectives. Oh, regarding kroot: either run them right or don't run them at all. Cut that blob squad down to 10 carnivores and 6 hounds, then you can afford a second unit with the point-saving measures I've previously recommended.
I will further point out that I think you should run the list I posted in the other thread (or a close variant thereof).

Yes, I would agree with most of what Knute said.
Never get bodyguards until you fill out your elites slot with suits.
3 broadsides with target locks is a bad option. They should either get A.S.S. or TAs, and then one of them should always be a leader with 2 shield drones and a TL:
Broadsides (3) w/ A.S.S.
-Team Leader w/ TL and 2 Shield Drones
275 pts.
Marker drones are extremely overpriced! Never, ever get them. (Only with exception to a stealth marker team... which is not the best either) Always get pathfinders instead.
Hammerheads should always come with target locks as well as the other equipment you gave them. Target locks let them split their 2 burst cannons and railgun, making the Hammerhead much better.
I would disagree with knute on getting a maximum number of crisis suits. I wouldn't say it is a necessity until you reach 2000. At 1500, 6 suits would do. I'm not saying more than that is bad.

I don't know about that Bringer. I mean, if you have a unit that's clearly the best in the codex, shouldn't you take the most number of that unit possible? Automatically Appended Next Post: Plus I think you can easily fit 10-15 suits in any tau list above 1500 points.

In short - Too much of anything isn't good for you. Any list above 1500 points can fit 10-15 crisis suits, but it doesn't necessarily mean you should. My best 1000 pt. list is as follows (and has proven quite good against orks/nids, though I must admit it hasn't faced elite armies): Crisis Battlesuit Commander Flamer/TL Missile Pod 12 Fire Warriors 12 Fire Warriors Pathfinders (4) Warfish Pathfinders (4) Warfish Hammerhead (Railgun/BC/MT/DP/TL) Hammerhead (Railgun/BC/MT/DP/TL) -998 Points

@The Bringer: I totally disagree with that. I think the thing with new codices is that there is no one 'best' unit; each unit does something different. Not so with the tau codex. Hell, if crisis suits were troop choices, they would be the only thing I ever took. Of course that doesn't speak very well for the codex generally, but it is what it is.

Really though, crisis suits will generally have trouble with heavy tanks and light infantry. Fusion blasters can blow up heavy tanks, but it requires you to be close, so even if you succeed, you will be close to a bunch of other units that will destroy you. Same with anti-troops, burst cannons are pretty bad, and flamers require you to be close to the enemy... which won't work out well half the time. (The AFP and CIB are exceptions, but you can only have one of each) They are good at what they do, which is heavy/medium infantry and light vehicles. I have seen many-a-list that can do fine with only 6 crisis suits at 1500. Though I must say, it would be awesome if you could take them as troops.

Maybe If They Make A New Codex It May Be Like Dark Angels And You Can Take A Crisis Squad As Troop With A New Special Character, I get that FW's are weak compared to Crisis but if the enemy drop pods down into my lines then my 2 squads mean i get 24 shots and if the markerlight hits thats a big bonus, When I get lucky i can take down 3 or 4 Terminators! Can Kroot Be Used In Big Squads?
