Who loves it? What's your favorite? Which ones would you recommend? Reviews welcome!

I just cracked open a case of Shiner Family Reunion and I'm pretty much in heaven. I'm starting with the Blonde and the flavor is a tad dark for a lighter beer (but I prefer dark beer ). It's got a hint of sweetness to it as well which makes it fairly epic. I know I love the Bock and Black, though I'm horribly intrigued to try the others.

I just finished a Schwaben Brau "Das Weizen" beer.. and it was amazing.

Disgusting! I've never understand why people like beer. I've tried German beers, English Ale's, Irish stouts, Canadian beer, American stuff, pretty much any thing that can be called beer, and I haven't like any of it. In fact the only time I can drink a full beer is when I'm too drunk to taste anything. Just give me some rum, tequilla, gin or Vodka and I'm happy

The only alcohol i'll consider drinking outside of champagne at a celebration is low vol. lagers like Budweiser and Carling; AKA watered down urine.

Other than that, I think my body is repulsed by all forms of alcohol, and it restricts me usually to 1 or 2 bottles; any more and it starts sending it back from whence it came.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Excerpt from "Seeress of Kell", Book Five of The Malloreon series by David Eddings.

Wait you're telling the vodka drinker he's not a man while you're espousing beer?

Beer should be thick enough to be cut with a knife, and dark enough to suck the light from a room.

I'm also a sucker for peat- so heavy Irish or Scotch stouts are my favorites.

Thankfully for my svelte figure, I don't get to indulge very often.

Wow, this one took off. I just moved on to the Kosmos Reserve. It describes itself as "full flavored" and "hop jacked" and it seriously is the most "hopsy" thing I've ever had. Awesomeness.

Another favorite of mine that I've only had a couple of times is Kirin Ichiban. Super clean flavor, and was light enough to pair with sushi perfectly, despite still behaving like a beer. The only time I get it is when I go to the 24 hour sushi place in Dallas. The owner is a terribly eclectic Japanese chef who just loves me and my club friends and he always brings one out for me even though they're not on the menu

I LOVE Samuel Adams Boston Lager, Picture this: get home from work, pull a frosted mug out of the freezer, uncap a Sam Adams Bostn Lager, fill said mug with the golden nectar of the gods, flip on the TV, and enjoy. AAAAHHHHHH

It is the 3rd Millennium. For more than a hundred months Games Workshop has sat immobile on the Golden Throne of Nottingham. It is the foremost of wargames by the will of the neckbeards, and master of a million tabletops by the might of their inexhaustible wallets. It is a rotting carcass writhing invisibly with business strategies from the early Industrial Revolution Age. It is the Carrion Lord of the wargaming scene for whom a thousand veteran players are sacrificed every day, so that it may never truly die. Yet even in its deathless state, GW continues its eternal vigilance. Mighty battleforce starter-sets cross the online-store-infested miasma of the internet, the only route between distant countries, their way lit by a draconian retail trade-agreement, the legal manifestation of the GW's will. Vast armies of lawyers give battle in GW's name on uncounted websites. Greatest amongst its soldiers are the Guardians of the IP, the Legal Team, bio-engineered super-donkey-caves. Their comrades in arms are legion: the writing team and countless untested rulebooks, the ever vigilant redshirts, and the writers of White Dwarf, to name only a few. But for all their multitudes, they are barely enough to hold off the ever-present threat from other games, their own incompetence, Based Chinaman - and worse. To support Games Workshop in such times is to spend untold billions. It is to support the cruelest and most dickish company imaginable. These are the tales of those times. Forget the power of sales discounts and Warhammer Fantasy Battle, for so much has been dropped, never to be re-published again. Forget the promise of cheaper digital content and caring about the fanbase, for in the GW HQ there is only profit-seeking, Space Marines and Sigmarines. There is no fun amongst the hobby shops, only an eternity of raging and spending, and the laughter of former employees who left GW to join better companies.

Any of you guys do any homebrewing? I'm currently drinking some black IPA that I made a month and a half back, that I'm trying to power through to free up the bottles for a brew of hefeweizen for the spring.

It's a really fantastic hobby, and it's a lot easier than you'd think. A couple hours of work, a couple weeks fermenting, and another week in the bottles to carbonate and you get several gallons of the best beer you've ever had.
