Today I was, yet again, putting off on painting my Badab war mini-project (don't blame me! only the quartered/halves schemes are left! ((well, and the Red Scorpion....)) ) so I threw this guy together. He started as a Chaplain that I received as part of the trade. While looking at him for a while, I decided to removed his arms and rotate the head, starting all over. Everything minus the legs, torso, pack and head are new. I wanted a very crusader aspect to him, so I put a shield on his back. I didn't have long enough chain (its from the ork wrekker ball) so I used a part from an ork loota to make the section holding his shield on his back.
Anyway, tell me what you think of him!

(whoops, I just noticed that big blop of red. I'll fix that up)
Also, there are two shots of the shield to show the battle damage
C&C very welcome

I have no idea where the head came from, I'll go ask Sageheart

He looks pretty cool. The only thing I really don't like is the giant spike coming out of the shield. I assume it's attached to what was once a sprue tree? It just really doesn't feel that effective with the rest of the model.

But thankfully, the rest of the model looks very cool. Great accessories, and a lovely pose. The colour scheme meshes well with the skeletal elements.

The painting looks solid. As I've already said, the colour selection is good, and the details and highlights are as well, although it could use a little cleaning up. I'm really digging the battle damage on the shield.

Thanks. Its from an ork loota backpack thing. I may trim it down so it looks better.

I'd say drop it entirely and just add more chain.

I ran out of premade chain, and my gs-skills consist of rolling it into a tube, then attaching
Hmm, I wonder if I can find some jewelery chain...

Thanks warboss. He is going to go along with the chapter master I made with the GK termie body. If I find/ make cool right arms, the paGK's will be body guards to the master. He will be painted next. (Delgado is the second in command)

I like it a lot, really cool! The backpack is a little overloaded for my taste, i would have gone with the stuff going up into a banner, since the objects are all reallu cool!

I also bought some sang guard. I'm not sure if I should paint them gold and use them for my semi scrapped BA army, or paint them up as part of my Knights force

Looks good. The head is from the Empire Knights set IIRC.
