I have the following issue:

If I am logged on to Dakka, and it's set to remember me, I get logged off if I follow a Dakka link from a Google search.

For instance, I did a search for "Victoria Lamb Highland Guard", one of the top links was a Dakka topic discussing it, but when I followed the link Dakka appeared without me being logged in.

I'm using IE8.

Has this been seen before?

Your security setting may be set at their highest levels. I run firefox on the highest security - this means no passwords are remembered, you log in details are cleared once you leave the page, ect, ect. In short it is probably for the best on your computer... that is unless the security settings aren't doing it.

The odd thing is that if I just search for Dakka Dakka and follow the link to the forum index, I'm not logged off.

It's only when following links into forum threads.

I've not been able to replicate this but it has happened in the past so there might be a small bug lurking somewhere still. Could you copy/paste the results from here:
http://www.dakkadakka.com/core/test.jsp

so that I can see your specific browser configuration as that will help me debug.

Not a major issue for me, just confusing

Details are:

-----

Dakka Phone Testing Information
Load this page, then copy everything here (along with a note detailing the MANUFACTURER and MODEL of your phone in the nuts and bolts thread on this topic). If your phone number appears below, feel free to edit that out, ideally just replacing the numbers with ###.

If you do not have copy/paste capability on your device, then please take a photo of this text and upload it as an attachment to the relevant nuts and bolts thread (dont use the dakka gallery for it)

I fixed this

Seems to have been caused by having "compatibility view" on in IE8 for Dakka Dakka...
