Following loosely the painting guide on BrushThralls.com, i completed my first Warjack mini from Warmachine. Calling it a mini is a real understatement. This thing is huge. I dread ever dropping it as it will most likely take a toe off in the process. I named him Bill Brasky after the giant dude from SNL. Excuse the pics they were from my cell phone and the lighting at my desk is terrible. He's also alittle on the shiny side. i was trying out a new WN matte varnish and its got some sheen to it.

I must say. If you didn't ell me I wouldn't have guessed these pics were from a phone.

Nicely done. Not a big fan of cygnar but still nicely done.

Expect my posts to have a bazillion edits. I miss out letters, words, sometimes even entire sentences in my points and posts.

Looks really good. Its funny, I also painted a bunch of cygnar off of the Brushthrall site. Yours seem to have come out better than mine. (Not to say that I'm not happy with mine)

Are you planning on doing any more, or is this just a single model project?

Thanks..
I'm going to finish the box set in the hopes of getting a few games going with my buddy from work, so there's still Stryker and two more light jacks to do. I also got a few select figures from different factions that I'm going to do also, purely cause they looked so kick ass. I really love the level of detail and craftsmanship on the Privateer press stuff. I might start collecting Retribution jacks only because they remind me so much of Appleseed mechs.

I'll be looking forward to seeing pictures, I plan on playing my first game of warmachine this coming Tuesday with a guy at my FLGS who picked up the Protectorate box set.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Its funny you mentioned the Appleseed mechs, I got into warmachine after re-watching Escaflowne a few months back and thinking how much they reminded me of warjacks.

I completed the last one from the set this weekend... check it out. I really like how the blending came out on Stryker's Robes and the mud effect.
