Subject: Raging Heroes : share your thoughts on our first SF mini
Asharah SF is about ready to go to the 3D printer, but we can make last minute changes until Monday so don't hesitate to share your thoughts.
Also, we are still debating adding a Mage Staff and a Book since adding them to the mix may completely change the layout of the elements in the mould and thus make it necessary to create additional moulds for the accessories, thus significantly impacting the price of the model. As it is now, she has comes with 2 swords, 2 guns, 3 heads.
I see potential uses for her in a sisters of battle army... otherwise, she looks like a fantasy character with a gun... not really all that impressed w/ the concept really, although execution looks amazing.

You're right, I can see DE too. Chaos not so much... yeah, it has a chaos helmet, but really, when would it be appropriate to use a human female in a chaos force? I suppose it could be a daemon of slaanesh, but its wearing too much clothes...

I really like all the helmet variants. Something seems strange about the guns though, cant quite put my finger on it - screwy persepctive maybe.
And yeah, shes got a serious DE feeling going on...

Nice, but I don't like the magazine on the 'good' version. The circles on the mag make it look odd, but the rest of the mini is really nice. That small comment was the only critical remark that I could make.
Fantastic job on all the variations, and I will definately be getting one of the minis even if it is not straight away.
That is a really good model, baffled why every model has to fit in with 40k background; what happened to the idea of standalone models with no connection to any other game format?. I look forward to getting my hands on it and hope that you have outlets in the UK.

A female inquisitor who's fallen to chaos? They kinda deal with this thing...
I don't see Sister's at all; the armor doesn't match up. I'm sure someone could paint it up to do it justice though; if you wanted it for that purpose.

Does she have hooves behind her ornate greaves, because otherwise it kinda looks to me like she is wearing ballet boots? Or maybe I've been looking at... never you mind what I've been looking at!
That seems like an... odd choice, to put it mildly, for a sci-fi figure armored for combat. That is, given that that is a kind of footwear designed to be: a) primarily aesthetically pleasing (for the viewer), b) punitively painful to wear and c) pretty much the most difficult footwear to walk in.*
Also, what are those things on the top of her elbows? They look almost like her shoulder pads have migrated down past her arm hangings.
Other then that, I do have to concur that it still retains a very fantasy-esque feel to it.
That said, the more ornate helmeted head is fantastic, as are the weapon options.
If there is indeed time remaining, I would be interested to see what it would look like with the "elbow pads" up at the shoulder, or just taken off. And the boots... I doubt there is time for such a radical change, but I would be very interested to see a less... fanciful, choice in footwear.
*I did notice this on the fantasy version, but there it was less jarring, as the mini was so clearly a supernatural being, and the notion of floating rather then walking.
Any comparison shots with a MM ruler or some other comparison minis?
What's the size of that mini?
Do you have some whip or flail options with her?
At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

I like it, I like it a lot. Lots of versatility for many games and factions, high quality sculpt. Awesome stuff.
IRON WITHIN, IRON WITHOUT.
New Heavy Gear Log! Also...Grey Knights! The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts.

I think I'll have to swap out her head for something a bit less evil sorceress-y, but I love the look of her so far! She would also make an amazing DE leader of some kind- especially with the twisty sword.
I have recently been diagnosed with swelling in the brain, so please excuse spelling mistakes and faulty sentences. I am losing my ability to type and talk effectively, but dammit, that is not going to stop me from trying.

I'm thinking Dark Eldar Klaivex: with one of the helmets, that flat-bladed sword and an additional demiklaive.
The helmets are cool, but rather too similar in their outline, in my opinion. The Evil Sorceress Beehive is awesome, though. Overall, it is a thing of beauty.

I know you're trying to make it feel like archaic sci-fi, but in the end it just feels
like a fantasy figure. I don't know what would make it more science-fiction, though.
Perhaps more armor would be a start, or if there's going to be so much
ornamentation on the armor at least put more of it on top of a more science-fiction-y
(whatever that means) armor chassis.
But would I buy this mini? Hell yeah.

I like it, I really really do, raging heroes stuff is fantastic but think it is a sad indictment of gamers and the industry that a mini has to overtly lean to a particular aesthetic in order to be successful or gain attention.
