Devastator, in answer to your questions:

1. Because while there is a good bit of useless posting around Dakka, most people are as helpful as they can be, and having help reciprocated is a benefit of trying to contribute here. I had three people mail me what I needed.

2. Public posting of specific point costs is against the rules, private discussion of them is not - which is what I asked for; did you miss that?
