Im just building my eldar army and want to collect a chaos space marine army after but i dont know any colour schemes. Im just wondering if any of you could show me some colours schemes or tell me some and any conversions for chaos space marines. And also could you tell me how to paint the four main chaos space marines (khorne berserkers ,nurgle, noise marines and thousand sons) and also some of the demon princes and there minions .All of these picks and information would be appriciated. cheers

GW has some good tutorials on their site. I'd check there first thing. Sorry, I can't link to gw, internet security on this damned old laptop won't let me visit gw.

I even think the site has some nice color schemes on there too.

Hope this helped.

The 'Cut

The Noise Marines I've done have been Vallejo Squid Pink (which is how I'm still able to get Tentacle Pink) washed with Leviathan Purple, and highlighted with Squid Pink, with Skull white used sparingly has extreme highlights.

Word bearers are great fun. I do mine like this:

Mechrite
Badab black wash
Red gore drybrushed
Highlight with mechrite.
Wash with TD badab black
Trim in chainmail (no washing)
Eyes are green (goblin)

Hope that helps

By painting on a darker color first, then a lighter color on the edges. That's highlighting

Diferent shades is just to start of with a dark color, and then layer it up to a lighter one.

Both paining techniques are quite simple.

If you are struggling with the basics why not buy or at least have a look at the GW How to paint Citadel Minitures or Space Marines guides they will show you loads of techniques from basic to advanced such as highlighting, drybrushing and washes. Also have a look through the Chaos Space Marine Codex as it contains loads of colour schemes for lots of different legions.

Go on the GW website and under CSM look at articles. There are loads of helpful articles such as Chaos Renegades Gallery and there are painting guides for the 4 major legions you listed.
