Gentlemen, could we please have the friends system amended so that a user has to accept someone before they can claim to be your friend or add you to their list.

I've only just joined DD but have already been added as a friend by someone who has not had any communication with me, or commented on my gallery, etc...


Sorry if this means extra work for the mods.

I assume that it's Waaagh_Gonads, who is one of the mods here, and friends people to welcome them to the site.
There are people who list you as a friend, and there are people who you list as a friend. If you post stuff that someone is interested in, 'friending' you means they can easily track your threads, you are under no obligation to friend them in return.

OK, thanks for that. didn't realise he was a mod, just saw someone 'collecting' friends without prior dialogue...
