i was browsing through the waylandgames website and i came across the eldar guardians(2007) box. I'm wondering if they are the same as the version we have today or are they different? http://www.waylandgames.co.uk/Games-Workshop/Warhammer-40k/Eldar/ELDAR-GUARDIANS-2007-/prod_1331.html They displayed the old edition looking box.

Different packaging, and I'm pretty sure they added in a support weapon platform.

Unless you are tryign to flesh out a unit to 20 guardians (which I would have no clue why) do not pick up this older box. Like others have said it doesn't have the heavy weapon platform needed for Defender guardians.

If the box is dirt cheap though, you may want to look at ebay for the gunner models and heavy weapon platform and weigh that versus the cost of the new box. You can usually find the old metal Heavy Weapons Platforms for the guardians pretty cheap... as long as you don't mind the clunky metal platform vs the new plastic ones.

You should phone (or email) them about what the actual product is. The description matches that of the current box (including the release date). However the box art is clearly that of the old one.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

After another look at it:

Product Information

The Eldar's main form of defense is the Guardians- those who are tasked with holding the centre of the battlelines whilst the specialist units achieve their specific targets. This box set contains 10 Eldar Guardians, and 1 Heavy weapon platform (all Plastic)

Sort it out wayland :(
2007 date and box art.
2010 kit?

I wouldnt risk it to be honest.
Seems they arent even sure what it is they are selling.

The current Eldar Codex was released around 2006/07, along with the new guardian kit, so 2007 would be the same as the "2010" kit. The only thing that's old is the pic, which was the one from pre-4th ed Eldar Codex.
