Hi guys, wondering if someone could help, need a little help regarding a new threat I am facing and currently strugling to deal with.

10 SM termies (1 sarg with storm bolter and ps 9 terms with storm bolter and pf)
with Pedro Kantor and also sometimes with Cato Sicarius

Anyone have an idea what I could use to wipe this unit of the face of the board?

I use CSM, I've tried defiler (using bc from range and assualting), termies (usually with pf's/pw's) + lord, even thrown in raptors at the same time. The only thing I could think of is a joint assault with DP and termies with lightning claws?

any ap2 blast weps preflably strengh 8+ to istant death the IC Vindicator a good idea

A vindicator is a good idea, it negates his +1A from Pedro, could anyone suggest a backup plan should said vindicator blow up?

and im not looking at a 2nd vindicator as I like to run my defiler andd obliterators

At what pts cap are you playing? I mean, 10 termies + kantor and sicarius are about 1000pts... Looks to me like OTP list... You can always stay away from that unit... It's pretty slow... And take out everything else in his army...
But must say vindicators are best option... If you take one, you could put it in reserves and meanwhile outshoot everything else in his list... He will go towars you, and be in range when vindi comes out of reserves...

we usually do 2,000 points, but yeah i was going to use the obliterators heavy plasma guns, but usually I use there lascannons to take out the dreadnaughts

You could also LR up a whole mess of Khorne 'Zerkers with Abbadon. The pile of attacks you get from that will simply overwhelm anything he throws at you.

For an extra punch, throw a Daemonweapon Khorne Lord in there or Kharn the Betrayer.

Meltas.. Loooots of Meltas

just regular 'zerkers can put a lot of wounds to seriously hurt even terminators. Combined with softening the unit up with ap2 fire it should die quick.

The defiler's cannon, vindicators plasma guns. Terminators' worst nightmares merged into one.

Defilers and Terminators are weak against this kind of thing. You're trying to take down an assault powerhouse by...assaulting it? Meh...shoot it.

Obliterators or Vindicators are going to make a mess out of this unit in short order. As usual, the cookie-cutter 9 Oblit, dual Lash, Plague Marine build crushes this.



What are you running as troops? This unit is not very tough, despite the number of 2++ saves. Plasma cannons, plasma guns, melta guns...they'll have a field day with this.

What? You play CSM and have a problem with a wee little MEQ unit? the ruinous powers frown upon you.

Plasma cannons, vindicators, chosen with plasma..... Lots of things.... A unit of your own terminators can wreck face...Especially against crappy tacticalerminators

See if that doesn't kill it.

I just realized they aren't TH/SS termies. In that case, use a Vindicator like everyone else said. There are other ways to assault them too. A Greater daemon, a Dreadnought or a Chaos Lord should all be able to cause some damage, but not alone. Maybe throw in some Raptors for extra power. Really, anything that strikes first is good.

Whether your using Plague marines or normal CSM, use Meltaguns, and combi meltas if you can. Lots of melta will help, plus, it can get vehicles too.

Regular Terminators in general suck. Pedro is not adding much to this unit either (besides 1 attack). If anything, he should have Lysander attached to this unit.

Pretty much any AP2 weapon will ruin his day though. Lots of oblits will do the trick. 3 Plasma cannon blasts from a single unit will wipe out tons of terminators. Vindicators work too. Terminators with Lightning claws or combi-plasmas would work as well. Personally I would just mass obits though, then you aren't really list tailoring.


Come back when he starts using TH/SS terminators out of a Land raider, with vulkan or Lysander or a null zone librarian. Then you have a real problem on your hands.
