Subject: Blister melta issue - I really need help!

So I bought the blister of meltas for my wolves since none came in the battleforce. Funny thing though, by using the arm for the bolter held in two hands there's no possible way to attach them both to the body. Anyone know what I can do? The only thing I can think of is to model it as a one-hander and put a bolt pistol in the other hand since I have no chainswords on the sprue left. I'm pretty sure giving him a bolt pistol and melta is legal.

The only solution I can think of is filing the part that rests against the body so it fits, but that's a lot of filing. Automatically Appended Next Post: Also, if I go with the dual wield method I described I'm guessing it'll be a bit top/side-heavy since the metal melta isn't in the center. Would gluing a Canadian nickel on the bottom solve this? Or would I have to cut it in half and glue it on the side of the base opposite the gun? Cutting a nickel would be a pain.

My plasma gun blister mounted to my marines fine and they have the same system.
Right hand moulded onto the gun?
Normally empty left (cradling) hand is used to hold the foregrip?
I just cut the plastic right hand off the arm and used a small ball of GS to form the new joint between hand and wrist and glued the bugger in.

Always try dry fitting too, but otherwise follow chromedogs instructions and you can;t go far wrong.

At least to answer your weight problem, yes a Canadian nickel should do the trick. Ive used many American nickels (they are pretty much the same size and weight) to fix unbalanced metal/plastic minis in the past. Youll have to reposition the mini on the base to that the lighter end is close to the end of the base, that also helps bring the weight closer to the center of the base.

I was having trouble dryfitting since it involved holding 3 pieces at once. I had cut off the wrist and glued the melta. Then attempted to dry fit and it wouldn't work. I used the arms for the bolter.
Also, glad to see I wasn't crazy for slicing off the stock.
I'm kind of worried about stringent melta on a scout now. Which arms should I use? I know I'll have to cut and file a cradling hand off of either one of their bolters or shotguns. (luckily I have zero need of the shotguns so I can make mistakes )

invest in some blue tac or poster putty to help you. it will hold the pieces together while you fiddle with them and hten pulls right off the model with no problem. When I do a hand I position it the way I want then draw a thin line with pencil on the hand and arm so that when i put th ehand back to glue I just line up the makr I made.

I think there are two types of bolter arms, did you try both? I know one set holds it close to the body, the other is kind of far away. If all else fails, just mount the gun one handed, and put a grenade or bolt pistol in the other hand...

They appear to be the same.
Is poster tack the white stuff that's easy to remove from walls?
