The simpliest way is to find plastic rods of various thicknesses (usually very thin) and cut them up into sections. Other methods include using a single drop of glue (applied with a thin needle) and allow that to dry, the surface tension holding the glue in a bolt-like shape. Finally, you could just cut off existing rivets from other vehicles and carefully glue those on.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

I use art decco beads, sometimes called glass micro beads, they are small beads of glass that are spherical but without holes, they come in a few different sizes, all you do is drill a hole the diameter of the bead wide and hald the diameter deep put a blob of glue in and drop the bead on top hey presto you got a rivet.

I also use em for mkV astartes legplates but thats more of a self punishment ritual as its so damn frustrating and fidly.

And here I thought he was asking for 28mm scale nuts and bolts, lol.

These guys have the right idea, though if you were looking for scale-size, unattached bolts or rivets, get an eyeglass repair kit and use the screws in there.

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

The thing I always use for rivets is just normal plasticard (1mm thickness in this case) I bought a leather punch for like 5 bucks at a garage sale, and then got a new punch for it. Now when I need rivets I just grab some scrap plasticard and punch em out

Just my 2 cents

Or if you are a stickler for detail you can buy plastic nuts, bolts and rivets from Grandt Line:

Like Orkboy I use 1mm thick plasticard and a "button" hole punch that punches 2 at a time.

Poor orks... Why can't they be the good guys for once?

Plastruct makes hexagonal styrene rod in multiple diameters. You could also try a local hobby store that carries nuts and bolts for HO scale trains. And you might check out Detail Master, they make photoetch for model cars.
