Ok heres the list that i play atm, but now the GW i play at has anounced that were going up to 1750 points as all the GW tournaments will be going upto 1750 points. SO question is what to add to this 1500 to get to 1750?

HQ

Pedro Kantor = 175

ELITES

8 Sternguard, Sergeant with Powerfist, Rhino = 260

10 Sternguard, 5x combi-melta, Rhino = 310

TROOPS

10 tactical Marines, Flamer, Missile launcher, Powerfist, Razorback = 235

10 tactical Marines, Flamer, Missile launcher, Powerfist, Razorback = 235

HEAVY SUPPORT

Vindicator = 115

Predator, Autocannon, Heavy Bolter Sponsons =85

Predator, Autocannon, Heavy Bolter Sponsons =85

Total 1500

I had a few suggestions of my own:

1. 5xTH/SS Termies + adding an extra sternguard to the 8, a siege shield on the vindy and a teleport homer on one of the tac squads.

2. 8 Scouts w/ Snipers and camo cloaks, Techmarine w/ Storm Bolter and 3x Servitors

3. 10x Assault Marines sarg with pair of LC's and a flamer

4. 4x Honour Guard for Pedro + a Razorback, and +2 Sternguard to make 10.

5. Dreadnaught w/ assault cannon and misile launcher, 5 Scout bikers with cluster mines.

Which one to choose or does anyone have any other suggestions?

hey,

first i can recall razorbacks carry a maximum of 6 models and cannot carry those troops i would give them the rhinos from the sterguard and put in 2 dps in place, i do this and i have lost once in about 25 games. On top of that you deffo don't need PF on your sergant of your squads, it's a waste of 25 points, i would replce them with a PW so you have another 20 points from both of them and another 20 from the razorbacks.

Again PF on the sternguard sergant i really think you don't need them so either peplace it completly with 5 combi- weapons or 2 combis and a PW. since you still have 40 points from the tacs you can boost your combi-weapons to 10 on both of the squads, this will give you the awesomnness to blow a hole in any taank when you come down and if you combat squad them either combat squad them a kill 2 units! also when you combat squad them you get another scoring unit. with regards to only 8 sternguard best boosting that up, leadership and survivabillity. so i would say if you drop both powerfists from the tactical squads i would say use that 50 points to get those two guys.

I think, for your extra 250 points i am loving the marines but 1 alteration, pistols can count as extra ccws so you only need to take a LC and with that 15 points maby a plasma pistol on oone of your other dudes (saves your sarg if you roll a one on to hit)

heavy support, vindicator predators, heavy bolter is no good, if your not gonna have las cannon sponsons over HB i don't think it's worth it, i can maximumly take a low AV tank out with it's S7 AC. i say remove them or a least on of them and find the points either for a pred with LC sponsons or another vindicator, 2 vindicators is mean. say you get anothe vindicaor and you remove both of the preds you have 55 points to spend.

altogether you get:
75 - removing PFs
-50 - two guys
170 - removing 2 preds
-115 - vindicator
20 - replacing razorbacks for rhinos

100 points left, i would spend it on upgrades or a thunderfire cannon, that way get a servitor aswell for all the tanks.

Ha way to rip my list apart thanks for that! I really should have said don't rip my list apart cos thats how i like it and it plays out well for me. And i should have also said it was fluffy for after Snagrod's destruction of Rynn's world. But madman12367 i do see what you mean by your suggestions. I know only 6 can fit into a razorback. If its a kill point game i don't field them in them i put them into terrain and shoot. But if its an objectives game i combat squad them, leaving 2 units of 5 on my objective/s and go out and get the other/s with my sternguard ( they are scoring units if Pedro is leading) and the other 2 units of 5 in the rhino's and razorback's. As for the Predators i would think that fluffy wise, Snagrods orks would have taken out the biggest threat towards their gargants, So i equiped them with heavy bolters. Anyways, any suggestion to the extra 250 points to add to the list?

hey there. I'll disagree with the madman. While in a vacuum a fist seems weak, it changes how your opponent plays. They are FAR less likely to want to assault you if have a fist in a unit.

I'd personally add in a librarian. Nullzone wins games. Simple as that. There are so many games i've played and seen where Nullzone was the MVP.

After that it sounds like you like scouts... Now if that's the case, I'd go with 4 scout bikers and a fist on the sergent. its a very good unit when you figure out how to use it.

What do people think about cluster mines? are they effective or are they just crap?
A librarian sounds good, haven't thought about it tbh. If i did chose a librarian, what other psychic power aswell as Null Zone?

Not going to pretend I know what I'm on about, mainly because I don't. But The armies you usually play, being either Marines or my 'Nids. The librarian seems like a good idea.
