Just as I was settling down to give my Mantic skeletons a good painting my last damn daylight bulb kicked the bucket. Now because of EU rules on bulbs I can no longer get my eco unfriendly bulb and am forced to look at these eco friendly bulbs. So does anyone use them and if so what are they like? Do they come with a bayonet fixing and what power rating of eco bulb will be equivalent to the 60w versions I used to use. The most important question is; what is the light quality like?

Also, since your on this island, wickes, focus, homebase etc should all stock both eco and normal ones.

I used to get them at B+Q but they've ditched all normal bulbs. There is a Hobbycraft store nearby but all they have are these Eco/energy saving daylight bulbs. Plus they are damned expensive.

Taopaipai18, what is the led light like to work with? By that I mean as you know a normal bulb works at the warm end of the spectrum and it can give a false impression of colour tones. Leds work at the cold end of the spectrum so how does colour tone differ?

I've found this seller http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280564766553 on ebay, I personally use 2x9w with E14 attachment and those work great. And since it's located on the islands you'll probably get cheaper postage then I did.
