Hey DakkaDakka,

I was wondering if my stripping material was a little to much.

For stripping my metal models, I use 1/2 MEK, or Methyl Ethyl Keytone, and 1/2 brush cleaner. It strips models in a matter of about 24 hours, but it makes me ridiculously "high" if I have it open to long.

TL;DR, I use a stripping material that makes me almost faint, but it strips really well. Is this a decent trade off?

If it makes you faint then you really shouldnt use it, no matter how well a job it does. I tried a variety of materials before and it ended up killing almost all of the nerves in my hand (making me unable to feel pain in some portions of it). It really sucks when you see a cut on your body that you have no recollection of getting.

If you have access to Simple Green, it's a very good stripper and has little to no fumes, as well as being generally good for the enviroment.

Use simple green like MechaEmperor said and stop killing your brain.

As per above. There is really no need to shell out on expensive gear when the same effect can be achieved safely at half the price.

When it comes to strippers, you can never have overkill!!

i'd triy cutting it back by half on both, and see if it's not as effective. may not be as strong.

I agree you can never have over kill that's why I have this attitude toward the situation.

I pictured a stripper with a load-out of guns.

I am dissapoint.

But surely a stripper with loads of guns needs a hand free to remove more clothing and or more guns, hmmm naked chick covered only by guns and webbing holding spare ammo who's getting rid of spare guns and or webbing, surely with the ammount of talent and male homones on this site someome must be working on this already?

maybe find another one that works as well as the one youve got but dose not make you faint
