If I have a weirdboy in a squad of boys and I use a phychic power i must make a test. But due to Mob rule my Ld may be raised by the number of boys in the squad... So may i use that number for the phychic test? Or do I have to use his base Ld?

YO DAKKA DAKKA!

The psyker tests on his own Ld value - he is making the test individually rather than the unit. I agree that it would be pretty fluffy to have orks generate Waaagh! energy by allowing the Weirdboy to benefit from this bonus... Alas!

Yeah, we had this clarified by the rules boyz running the 40K doubles tournie at Warhammer World last weekend.

If they got the ruling wrong, gawd help us.

They got it wrong. The codex says that a Weirdboy's leadership is affected by mob rule. There doesn't seem to be any issue with using that higher leadership value.

*Shakes fist* Curse you aquascum!

Arse, ah well Zogwort did manage to squig somebody, but it might have been better had we been rolling against LD 10.

There is no such thing as 'unit' leadership value anyways, Only individual LD. the 'UNIT' LD is that of the highest individual LD.

Orks just happen to replace every individual LD stat with the size of the unit. Which means if any ork ever is required to take an individual LD test, his individual LD is that of the unit size.

As quoted (and by quoted I mean CTRL-C CTRL-V) from the GW Orks FAQ, available as a PDF on their website:

Q. Can a Weirdboy’s Leadership be increased to
more than 10 by the Mob Rule?
A. No, it can be increased, but only up to a
maximum of 10.
