The plan is to put my banshees in the falcon zoom them up to the weeker flank with scorpions infiltrating close by. I will have the night spinner shooting over head far out of range of any guns and behind a building. I plan on putting the fire dragon squad in the bright lance wave serpent to help blow away tanks with speed and swiftness. a squad of DA will be in the EML wave serpent providing support and the rest will move in slowly, act as a distraction, providing support or maiming the more vital units. Yriels will also be leading the main assult with my flank. If im versing a drop pod army only the farseer and some other vital squads will be in tanks and every one else will be hudled together so that they can provide support for one another. Any tips or comments are completly welcome and i do know i am low on tank killing wich i am working on.( sorry for the spelling flaws)

This list is all ove the place. So here's some critiicsim that's all over the place.

Drop the diresword from the dire avenger exarch. Shimmershield is much better for the squad.

You have the points cost wrong on your guradians. A EML on defenders with 10 guys is 100 points not 110.

You dpn't need 2 enhance's with your squad, because the effects arn't cumulative. Make him have embolden.

Instead of a spinaret weapon with the warp spiders, give him 2 weapons. It adds more to the power of the squad this way. And if you give an exarch powerblades you might s well give him withdraw too.

The exarch isn't really needed for the fire dragons. A firepike isn't that good with the rest of the squad, and tank hunters is overkill too.

I agree with all of the above points.

In my opinion your transports and fire dragons are overbudgeted...you can probably honestly shave down enough points to make 2 squads of 5 dragons in 2 serpents and use them for portable tank nukes..you'd have to change up the other elite slots for this.

I'd also drop some of the extras you're taking with your farseer, because it can free up some extra points to throw into more/different units.

Oh, and I might be wrong, but I believe a 10 man Dire Avenger squad with an dual-wield exarch and bladestorm would be 152 points, not 140...that's how I've been pointing it, anyway.

Other than that, a very diverse list, it'd be definitely fun to play as/against.

Wow... really don't know where to start on this one...

What is the purpose of this list? If it's 'ard boyz or a similar tourney you'll get your face kicked in.

The list pretty much looks like a "take everything you can scrounge up and toss it into a list" list. If that is the case then you really need to scrounge up more or buy more to flesh out those units.


But on a nicer note:
- Defender guardians, unless you have guide for them then don't waste points on anything more then scatter lasers. BS3 points single shot anti-tank into the unreliable category for the point cast.
- Defender guardians, get a warlock with embolden in those squads before they run off the board on you.
- Scorpians and Banshees, take 10 or leave them at home.
- Fire Dragons, too many upgrades.
- DA Dire Sword, DA are terrible in CC
- Shining Spears, are are aweful. 120 pts for 3 guys with T3 3+ armor you do the math on how long they will live
- Swooping Hawks, zero reason to take more then 4 regular hawks... no really.. no reason.
- Reapers, take Exarch with EML/Fast shot or Tempest/Crack shot... or leave them at home
- Nightspinner, the thing has a 72" range... why the heck do you need to move 36" or shoot something within 24" with BS3 3 shots
- Falcon, Starcannon should never see the light of day in 5th edition and you have too much firepower to waste your shots on star engine move.
- Vehicles in general... too many upgrades.

Overall the whole thing screams that you took every model you have with every upgrade you have which you can guess how good it'll do against a similar point cost army with a focused mindset.

I'm in agreement with blue dagger pretty across the board (we have our differences, but on the main points we are in accord)

Eldar is not an army that can win with a simple "collection of models" You really need to build and optimize your army around a goal to succeed.

often this goal is speed- spiders, tanks, bikes

sometimes your goal will be rock hard MC wall- wraithguard, avatar, lords, eldrad / fortune seer. You get the idea.

Also hes right in that you have a lot of fat to trim.

For example, never spend more than 145 points on a wave serpent. That gives you a bright lance and spirit stones. Anything more than that is a waste of points. Further you only should be taking lance serpents if you are only running a single squad of dragons. Most serpents should aspire to be 115 or 125 points for scatter lasers, or 100-110 points for dragon wagons.

keep stuff cheap, and keep stuff focused, and you'll be able to fit in more bodies where you need them (your cc squads) and more guns.

our stuff is somewhat over priced these days anyway, taking wasted upgrades increases the odds against us drastically.

I may have gotten some of the points wrong. With the whole wave serpent fire dragon thing im not looking to get an exsesive amount of fire dragons the wave serpent was there to mop up points along with some of the things i gave my farseer.With the warlock enchance thing thanks for the tip i completely misread the cumulative thing. So i think i'll just take 2 of the enchances away and change it for another destuctore and an Embolden. I think ill just give both exarches duel catupults instead of shimmer shield. To akaean im not just taking models (although i do want get rid of my hawks and put in a viper squad) im taking units that complement eeach other and thats how you win. I know it isnt a traditional list but it works for so far so good. And to those who question the night spinner why dont you need somthing that is an eldar Basilisk. And akaean i am only running one fire dragon squad. Over all i thank you all for your input this is still an army in the works and it is a Beil-Tan based army thats why i have so many troops.
