When did he get it? Was it during or after the 2nd War of Armageddon? I was thinking of making a list with Yarrick and the Steel Legion but after checking some info out at the Lexicanum it sounds like I should be putting him with Cadians.

In the Second War for Armegeddon, in the Battle for Hades Hive, he fought Warboss Ugulhard single-handedly, losing an arm to the vicious greenskin, but he managed to behead it, take off its power klaw with his chainsword, then passed out after the orks retreated.

He used it pretty much straight away...
The Orks were demoralised that he nicked their leaders arm after having his own chopped off. He also had one of his eye taken out and a weird gun eye put in.

Well Yarrick knew that orks were a cowardly and superstitious lot, so instead of dressing up as a bat-man he had a laser-eye made for him to live up to the "evil eye" myth that the orks had created.

And who doesn't want to be able to kill their enemies by looking at them funny?

I'm sure the ordo xenos were a bit unsure of whether Yarrick should be carrying around a bit of alien wargear, but I guess if you can put the slap down on a warboss with one arm missing, even the Inquisition's gonna think twice about telling you off...

Nah Orks tech is usually useless apart from the truly arcane and weird stuff.
A few puritans may object but Yarrick is a hero and if you moved against him you would have no friends.

Plus it scared the hell out of the orks and that can only be a good thing.

Even an inquisitor knows that if someone is thick headed enough to survive a head butt from Ghazghkull, then nothing you can say is going to change their mind.

Not to mention that he can even lift the freaking powerklaw.

The guy's 100% badass.

Just as a note, that klaw's as big as he is. Not even joking.
