Hello, I'm not completely sure if this is in the right place, It's just I couldn't find a questions thread.

So, I was wondering where you can find out how much each of your troops are worth in points. I can't find it in the codex so Iv'e come to ask you guys.

Well I hope you guys can help. Thanks, Cya!

Edit: I mean 40k.

How can't you find it in your codex? It's right in the respective army list entry near the back of the book.

Yep, you need to buy the relevant codex book for your army and the costs are there in the back part of the book along with the Force Organisational Chart.

You can always easily find a readable codex online with a little google-fu, if for some reason your codex is missing a page.

No, I don't think he's a troll. He's a fairly new poster, but has uploaded images to the gallery and voted on quite a few. That's way more dedication than your average random troller.

I assume he's just fairly new to 40k.

To the OP: It depends on what Codex you have. Lately, the point costs are all listed towards the back of the codex. Earlier codexes have the point costs with the unit listing.

Thanks for the help guys, I'm pretty sure I have the latest codex but I'll check on an online codex.

Also I'm not a troll, I'm just really new to 40k, I got my first troop 5 days ago.

Thanks, Cya!

It will be in your codex, no need to look for an identical online one. It's literally RIGHT THERE in the army list near the back of the book.

It takes a little getting used to the first time, but after half a dozen games your codex will become pretty familiar to you, so no worries. Good job
This goes without saying, but just in in-case...I would strongly suggest getting the universal 40k rulebook (cuz you can't really play without it ), and if you do have it, then I suggest reading it thoroughly.

Yeah, also with the rulebook I'm not really that bothered at the moment cause I don't have that much money but it's alright because I plan to just kind of paint some guys and build up a small force before I start playing serious games.

Well, he can.
As long as his usual opponent has one and is willing to share to show him the ropes.

Sounds like he has one squad at the moment and is young. He'll be a while getting stuff together yet.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

miles - have a look around for the Assault on Black Reach soft cover rule book. It is identical to the big book, but A5, lighter and doesnt have all the nice fluff in it

You can pick them up on ebay for a few pounds quite easily

I was about that age when I got fully into the game. The whole upgrade and armoury system confused the hell out of me for the first few games. It takes a while to get used to, but afterwards it'll feel instinctive.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.
