Hey guys,
I threw pictures up on my blog here: http://smellslikewargaming.blogspot.com/2011/03/finished-1k-word-bearers-team-army.html, but I figured I'd throw them up here too for you all to enjoy! I finished this commission in under a week, and am fairly happy with the end result!

The Commission consisted of:
1 Daemon Prince
2 Obliterators
1 7 Man Plague Marine Squad with Rhino
2 10 Man Word Bearers Squads

They look great. But I'm not a big fan of those brown guns on the plague marines. Maybe add some rusty metallic color over it?

Those are great for a week's work...a nice clean red, which so many fail at...

I like the reds, but the green you have chosen I am not a fan of. It is a bit too bright and clashes a bit too much with the brass/rust/brown of the weapons and trim.

However, everything else looks great.

Really good armour on the prince's legs.

The Band across the rhinos works really well. Try painting the banding different colours and then paint the unit that rides in it left shoulder pad or a knee cap the same colour

@Silver: Yeah the green did turn out brighter than I intended, but the client was happy with them, and that's all that matters!
@soviet.russia: I did think about doing squad markings to match the Rhino and the WB. The rhinos are designated differently by some simple freehand on the back doors though, which should work fine.

I think the green is alright aswell. Something different for a change
Daemon Prince looks awesome aswell.

The colours don't tie well enough together on the Plague Marines, in my opinion. It may just be the lighting, though.

Otherwise, they look fantastic.

@soviet.russia: The doors are glued shut, so I didn't paint the Rhino interiors. The rear doors, though, have some basic freehand on them to denote differences.





Nothing too fancy, but it works!

Nice free hand. You could probobaly get the free hand of those images on your computer, reduce them in size and print them off on transfer paper to make transfers to stick on the squads shoulder pads.

you may want to tone the green down on the PM's - it looks a little christmas like there.

@soviet.russia: I've thought about doing some custom transfers, but being at college and not having my own printer makes it impractical right now.
