Hey folks!

If I have three wraith units and two of them go down, then get back up and join the third wraith unit (so now a unit of 9 wraiths), have I given up two killpoints despite having lost no models?

Yes, because you still lost two squads.

But the two squads are still alive....

Killpoints are counted at the end of the game. You check the unit's status at that point, not every time something happens to them.

If units are gone at the end of the game, then they would give up a kill point. Despite the individual models still being alive, their Unit is gone.

This, when one goes to 'find' them they are non-existant. GW backs this up in the new DE FAQ "In the case of a Necronunit, a pain token will be generated once a unit has been destroyed (even if some of its models have returned into other nearby units)." Which while horribly written does help

As above

the rules for WBB tells you they *join* the nearest unit, meaning they are no longer a member of their unit. At this point you have, indeed, lost no models but have lost 2 units

A new day, a new time zone.

Except they're not. When it comes time to calculate kill points, units A & B are indisputably gone. Unit C is the only one left on the table.

Pretty much what everyone said already, the "models" are still alive the but the unit they existed in originally is gone.
