So I had a long break from modelling and decided to get back into it. When I was younger I had a ton of imperial guard and I’ve always loved the Cadian models so I decided to start a new army of Cadian’s.

So I merely went out and bought a Cadian battle force and set to work making up all my lovely models.
I don’t have much fluff for the army as of yet apart from a name the 26th Cadian, and that they specialize in snow warfare. If anyone could help me with the fluff side of things I would really appreciate that.

So colour scheme is going to be white and black obviously for the artic theme. I don’t actually plan on playing my army at all as I have never been into the playing side I just love to build and paint the models so at some point in going to want to make a display board as well.

I’ll be uploading pictures of my command squad and my first squad shortly.
These will be the first models I have made im about 5 years as well so I hope you like them.

The weather gear is because the Cadians are featured in the next Imperial Armour book fighting on a snow planet; which fits nicely with your theme.

I simply love freshly started IG projects !
Maybe its just me, but I usually love to make the army's commander really stand out from the rest by placing lots of bitz on his base and the model itself etc. He'd look even cooler if you did that i reckon

I have finally finished my first two squads to go with the command squad. Now all I have left to build is my heavy weapon squad and my sentinel, and then ill start the painting.

Oooh, more Imperial Guard. The models look promising, but I always have that feeling when they are just assembled. Subscribed!

So today I’ve decided to make a start on my heavy weapon squad, think I’m going to do mortars as I think the fluff to my army is going to be based around an artic hit and run style army.

Pictures should be up sometime today, all being well.

If I may make a suggestion.....make 6 heavy weapons out of the kit you have instead of 3....

Just make each weapon with 1 trooper...you can use a die for wounds....or if you're playing against an uber gamer who says you have to use two models to represent the crew then use other guardsmen that are mounted in transports or in reserve or casualties....they die easy enough anyway...

Imperial Guard 4000 pts
Orks 4500 pts
Space Marines 3000 pts

Nice start on your army.

Cant wait to see them painted.

Who ever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward whoever cannot live without that law is both.

For a wounded man shall say to his assailant if i live i will kill you if i die you are forgiven such is the rule of honour !

So haven’t posted for a while as I’ve been a bit busy which means not a lot of construction has gone on. However not wanting to let you down I have come up with a bit of a task for the mean time, I know I want my army to be artic themed so I need a good snow camo style, and haven’t been able to any so if any of you could put some suggestions that would be great.

Looks like a good start on your army

For winter camo you could paint the cloth white with light blue and grey dots and the armour plated grey.
