Or a mass email...

Well I received one, not sure if anybody else did.

You received one what?

A request to confirm your shipping address?

The moment Adam starts asking for address confirmation it will be all over the KS comments as a sign that movement is immanent,

but nothing so far so I assume it was an answer to a PM (or a post intended for a different thread)

No, the email I got a few days ago was explicitly for Black Friday backers, and said that we had 10 days to confirm. This may be being sorted out earlier because they are completely fixed - you either got Survivor level, or Survivor + every expansion in plastic, or...everything made in plastic. No custom orders.

Yes to confirm my address, but it was indeed as a black Friday backer.

The only odd thing I found in the email was that it said I was not allowed to add more stuff but implied I could in the past, I thought black Friday backers were not allowed to add stuff.

I don't think they ever were allowed to add on. HOw was it worded? It's possible he will use the same email for everyone, and Black Friday backers were a "test run" for confirmations.

OMG, an official Update! Of sorts.

Update #96

The Update to update you that an Update is coming soon!

Hello!

This might be our most silly update ever and that is ok.

Because today,

I APPROVED THE NEARLY 18lbs KINGDOM DEATH:MONSTER CORE GAME FOR FINAL ASSEMBLY!

What does that mean? It means that in over at the factory in china that handled printing our massive rulebook, and nearly 1,000 game cards (also game board and token sheets) they are finally taking the huge stacks of all these printed assets and putting them into their final boxes, ready for shrink wrap and shipment.

By the end of the week, we will be emailing EVERY backer with the shipping address we currently have on file. Your job will be simple, if there is a problem, let us know and we will fix it. Otherwise... you are all set!

But Poots, When will fulfillment Start?

Soon dear backers, very soon. This week I am finalizing the last few points on our fulfillment plan and then I will be able to make our big "fulfillment update". Complete with estimated delivery windows from the logistics partner company. Until then, my lips, or typing fingers are sealed. So please, manage your expectations!

I'll also give a recap on what went down, which pushed us to basically be a month late on the print side of things. Not a big deal... just that the weight of the game contents were crushing the boxes internal vac tray... leading us to make it thicker and add cardboard supports under it.

Our Shop!

And yeah! We have some new resin miniatures released over at our store, the sales of resin miniatures has very much been supporting us! If you can imagine, a huge game + a ton of promos, pinups and expansions all taking their sweet time in production is not exactly... the best way to keep revenue flowing for our team. So really, a big super thank you to our resin's for carrying us!

shop.kingdomdeath.com

Pre Orders and Final Retail

In the next update, which I'll call the fulfillment update. I will also reveal the final retail price of the Core Game and how pre-orders for our new non backer fans will go down. I still want to do everything I can to help support fans before retail, but there is no way, we can offer the game at the rate the backers got it. Which I personally feel, is totally fair.

EMPTY HANDED!?

So I am on my laptop right now, and don't have access to any "monster" stuff. So instead enjoy a random assortment of things "Kingdom Death" that you most certainly have not seen yet and will one day, be a formal part of the world!

Bone Witch, WIP!

The Mountain Man! Part of the reason there are no Male White Speakers...

The weapon designer of the Twilight Order! The mysterious man behind the creation of the Twilight Swords.

A gatherer from a settlement that Worships White Lions.

The Honeycomb Weaver, a new monster still under development. The thing on the end of its phallic-like appendage is a bee hive.

Ringtail Fox Survivors. A new expansion under development, that explores people living in underground tunnels below a dangerous swamp ruled by a great fox-like entity. Securing and expanding the underwater tunnels so you can increase your population capacity is one of the ideas going into this one.

I AM A DAD NOW!!!!

Myself, a very jealous cat and Mr. Asher D. Poots!!! Hope Anna isn't too pissed I put this on the internet, I am just so happy!

GORM EXPANSION

...will be included with the big fulfillment update. Everything has been 100% done for ages now, I just haven't had a chance to assemble the official models and photograph them / all that good stuff.

!!!!!!!!

P.S. If you have any issues / concerns. The BEST way to reach me or the team, is support@kingdomdeath.zendesk.com

This creates a ticket which we can track and ENSURE gets resolved. So I know its tempting to just hit me up here, or at any various email. But please, its really nice to have it all in one place.

THANK YOU ALL! SERIOUSLY!!!!!

Automatically Appended Next Post:
This is amazing news, because it means Adam really is on track to fulfill. Call it a month to assemble and another month to get things to the US, and we could start seeing backer receipt in September-October. I think it's now safe to assume all backers will receive late Q3-early Q4, so everybody should have their stuff by Holiday 2015. Yay!

Also, big congrats on Adam becoming a dad. I'm glad he's still working on KD:M, now that he's got a family to support.

First of all, congratulations to Adam on his first born. Live long and prosper, my friend.

Secondly, DEAR LORD. Is this real life?

The Twilight Knight weapon designer is striking all the right cords and so is that Honeycomb Weaver - the first truly genuine heebie jeebies a KD monster has given me. Kudos.

Comments has Adam saying that the previous schedule was pushed back by a month,
@num, end of may - june was our packed and ready to load into containers date. its ended up being pushed back a month due to printer mistakes.

September deliveries for "Summer 2015" are barely possible, but somewhat unlikely. October / November / December shouldn't be an issue.

The best part is that Adam is at a point that he can do an Update of any sort.

Also, that we will see more Gorm stuff, which I am pretty geeked about.

Yeah, the new kid may explain some of his lack of updates. I'm amazed he didn't fall back on that as an excuse.

I'm glad he didn't cop his kid as an excuse, although I do believe that having a newborn may have taken his eye off the ball, resulting in part of the delay.

While I would love to see hard dates and such, the fact that Adam approved final assembly (i.e. boxing & shrink) is a pretty "real" to me. It means that Adam is done with production making stuff, and it's now moving over to fulfillment delivering stuff. That's a huge bridge to have crossed right there.

I was mostly just joking around. With 19 page updates from other kickstarters that say nothing about anything kickstarter related, it's quite nice to get some information from a creator.

Yeah, I saw the orkticons. I'm just super pumped that KD:M is going to deliver. I am still so excited for this!

Also, 19 pages of nothing? Are you a RRT backer?

I can't wait for that...

I do hope he gives us a solid 6-12 months with Monster to decide if Heroes is worth it to us!

I'm sure it'll be awesome, but I'm sure he'll want the feedback from us backers to help decide the system for heroes, especially if you go back and dig up the notes about KDH.

No officemate announcement, John. Just speculation.

There's never been an official statement on a KD: Heroes kickstarter, I believe. Just a few lines on the range being available at some point. Mostly conjecture? Been awhile.

The plan was that the next (full) game would focus on heroes rather than mere survivors it was mentioned during the KD:M KS I think the name KD:Heroes came from that and isn't necessarily official plus we are what nearly 3 years on. It's interesting to note that a lot of the more recent resin releases have focused on hero type characters and these would be prime candidates to convert to plastic for the game. It's still all very vague and I wonder if Poots even wants to go in that direction anymore Monster has been a lot of work may be getting a few smaller expansions out first and seeing what feedback is like first s the way to go.

this was posted about the Saviors (in July 2013)

Creator Kingdom Death about 11 hours ago

...Savior Super mode will not work in monster. The rapid aging is a feature of her extended character in the next Kingdom Death game, which focuses on the "hero" level humans, instead of the normal ones in KD:M.

Oh, OK, thanks for clarifying.

I think that a KD:Heroes KS would be possible, but I would prefer to see it as something much smaller in scope, things that can deliver with 12 months, without a lot of SGs that stretch fullfillment by years...

But that just wouldn't be Kingdom Death.

What would Adam do with all the money coming in post-stretchgoals?
