Seeing as how they both work for the dark gods, do they sometimes work together? They both have the same objective, right? It would be like Imperial Guard and Space Marines.

Maybe you hang out with immature women. Maybe you're attracted to immature women because you think they'll let you shpadoink them.

I dont recall Dark Eldar ever working for any 'dark god'. Infact, I seem to recall that they thrive in spite of their current spritual enslavement to Slaneesh.

That being said, I can see Dark Eldar and CSM working together, if only for a time. They both like reaving, pillaging and slaving.

Just expect treachery and back-stabbing at the end of whatever short-lived alliance they may have

Uh, yeah, DE have no gods. They're in it for themselves; and have a pretty big beef with Slaanesh about the whole stealing their souls bit. So no, they definitely don't have the same objectives. They might team up with a warband dedicated to one of the gods not eating their souls on a very temporary basis, but that's really no more likely than them 'allying' with the Tau (which has happened oddly enough, mentioned in the codex. Turned on them of course, silly trusting space commies).

I doubt DE would truly ally with anything Chaotic. Tbh, they would probably kill the Chaos Space Marine warband, then go kill whatever the warband was planning on killing. Either that or watch the slaughter and then kill the survivors

Then Horus comes across the lone grot, somehow managing to kill the Emperor, and punts it into space.

Yeah They wouldn't ally with them out of any mutual gods etc, but I'm inclined to believe they'd ally with them, then hold back their forces from the really big bit of fighting, to enjoy the scenes of pain and death and whatnot, similar to their gladiatorial matches, then sweep in and kill any survivors, be they 'friend' or foe, just to get the most out of the whole 'pain is life' thing

Unfortunately in fluff-terms CSMs eat "pencilnecks" like a normal Dark Eldar for breakfast. Since Chaos is quite a foe, I'd doubt they'd forge any pact as it's too dangerous unless they outnumber them heavily. I don't think that DEs are stupid.

I dont think its going to happen soon, since DE dont really like slaanesh. Since it caused their downfall.

they **MIGHT** ally with Khorne worshippers, as Khorne hates Slaanesh, and thinks all his magic and pleasure stuff is gay. His words not mine.

They've got Khaine, and sort of the Dark Muses (who, I suppose, are more long dead Mythical "Heroes" than gods, but still...).

Isn't Khaine dead though? Or at least shattered into a bunch of Avatars or however that works (in the hands of the Craftworlders no less). Laughing God and Isha were the only survivors if I recall. I thought the DE appreciated Khaine's penchant for murder, but had pretty much given up any form of actual deity worship; at best emulating the most cunning and backstabby people they'd heard of.

DE don't worship any dark gods.

But, they have sort of allied with Fabius Bile in a sense. In the new codex it mentions that Fabius Bile is currently tutoring in the ways of cloning and such in the Tower of Flesh.

Let's see them stand toetotoe with an Incubi or even a wych
Well seeing as DE pretty much have it in for Slannesh, and I doubt they want to share their souls, Ihighly doubt it, they would more likely manipulate the CSM into doing something they they need help with, and good ol DE style, stab them in the back

Incubi are surely equal matches (speaking on the whole) but not the bread and butter of DE armies and in fluff-terms Space Marines easily outclass normal DE. I don't think that DE would so easily forge any pact with CSM as they are dangerous and unstable allies (as much can be said vice versa however). I'd see them if anything wait for the Chaos dudes to do their work and then attack them when their guard is down or ally themselves with Chaos forces that are easy prey, like deluded guardsmen.

Those new DE however look quite chaos-influenced with all those T-visors* so maybe they're closer now to them.

*which is a shame in one case IMO: Those classic incubi helmets looked so much cooler IMO. I still have those bodyguards lying around, just had to own those two badasses.

Slaneesh is the PRIMARY enemy of the Dark Eldar. If anything, you will find the Dark Eldar doing everything in their power fighting and destroying Slaneesh in all its forms.

It is amazing that after 12 years of the army being out, and right after a new codex, people are still under this false presumption that Dark Eldar worship any of the Chaos Gods.

I can see the Dark Eldar aligning with the other Chaos Gods for their own needs, and once the need is over, the Chaos Marines will just become Slaves for the gladiatorial arenas. Of course, any psychic chaos marines will be destroyed on site and never allowed in Commorragh.

C.S. Goto is an idiot and so is whatever slow wrote the instruction booklet for Soul Storm.
