So really, I am just wondering what the best slaanesh count as codex that you can think of. No not the chaos/daemons codex mostly because daemons from the rumors will get stomped and chaos codex was written by Gav. So what do you think would be a good slaaneshy codex and dark eldar just isnt me IMO.

Depends on what you're looking for. Assaulty marines would be Blood Angels, while for speedy daemons the Dark Eldar are really all you have. =/

Slaanesh's main hook is high initiative and Rending, or Sonic Weapons and assaults. Bar the actual Chaos Codex, only Dark Eldar and Genestealers possess these attributes (and none of them possess Sonic Weapons). Blood Angels is about as close as you can get as an MEQ.

Well you don't seem to want BA or DE which seem like the only other slightly possible options.
Whats wrong with the Chaos codex? An all Slaanesh/unmarked army with CSM codex can be very good.

I'd suggest the new Grey Knights codex. Everybody gets a Sonic Blaster (Storm Bolter), power sword, Mark of Slaanesh (Nemesis Force Halberd) and Psychic Cacophony (The Aegis).

Daemonettes could be approximated by Death Cult Assassins.

Crowe could represent Lucius, with Heroic Sacrifice representing that "his killer turns into Lucius" thing.

Lol this is the same as the "Thousand Sons as Space Wolves" thing. At least it's not the polar opposite this time.

Stick with the Chaos Codex for now. Normal Marines with the Icon of Slaanesh functions as Noise Marines quite well for cheaper, while actual Noise Marines (with Blastmasters and Doom Sirens) are devastating when paired with a Lash Sorceror or Lash Prince (where you can bunch them up in tight little bundles, perfect for a Doom Siren template).

How about you don't just abandon your army just because the new Grey Knights look scary.

Just a thought.

Yeah I know. One thing I love is modeling. I really like doing projects which involves heavy conversions and such.

Honestly the Chaos book's Noise Marines, funnily enough, fit a Slaanesh army best. Grey knights might "kinda work" for a couple units, but the vast majority does not.

I'd honestly stick with Chaos Marines. Just use the Noise Marines and give all your other stuff Mark of Slaanesh. There isn't an easy analog like there is for Khorne to Space Wolves or whatever.

Noise Marines are really solid. They're monstrous against light-medium infantry, and hit before most troops in hand to hand. Aside from anti-tank they're real effective, and you'd probably want to use another unit for anti armor anyway.

Noise Marines are uber Tactical squads basically. They have a improved bolter (Sonic Blaster), Improved initiative, more attacks, improved heavy weapon (Blastmaster) and improved flamer (Doom Siren).

A couple of Termicide Combi-meltas with basic gear should take care of your tank troubles, and anyone stupid enough to actually charge a unit of Slaanesh Termies will find out just how much a world of hurt they're in for (I5 + power weapons = ouch).

Seems like you're going out of your way when you can just use the Chaos Codex and make it Slaaneshi, it's what I do. I mean Chaos is an official book so why bother with all this extra stuff.

Because conversion are fun to do and I have way to much time in my life. Anyway yeah I love modeling so I thought why not play slaanesh (favorite god, i mean how can you not love it) Yet the gav codex made the slaanesh not so well also they are 25pts for those uber tactical while I will probably make a list for them.

Well you can still do conversions wit the CSM dex, my Slaaneshi marines are Fallen so there's a lot of DA bitz. But different strokes, I guess. However, CSM, DE, and BA are probably the best choices available to you.

There are plenty of awesome conversion ideas you can go for without trying to hamfist slaanesh into a grey knight list. Take a step back and realize, you just want to use GK because they are flavor of the month and seem powerful.

Firstly, the Chaos Codex was Alessio Cavatore's fault, according to him.

Secondly, just stick with the CSM codex. Yeah, yeah, it's not a particularly good codex (I play CSM too, so I know) but there simply aren't any other books out there that really represent a Slaanesh army better. And, to be frank, if you're simply after a power boost then you might as well just play that army.

After reading that article, I still reckon that both Alessio and Gav are guilty as at the end of the day, regardless of who came up with the design concept, they both worked on it and their names credited as the authors.

In regards to representing chaos with other books, none of the loyalist codices represent the big 4 in its entirety very well. Loyalist codices are better at representing isolated vanilla CSM warbands with a minor dedication to the big 4.
