Here is another army that I'm building. It has Lascannons and Razorbacks which I love.

Too many points on the captain. Run him with Just a RB, or RB/SS if you must. I'd prefer a standard libby, myself.

Sternguard: Swap 2 of those combimelta for heavy flamers. Instead of TLLas, switch to lascannon/plasmagun razors across the board. Slightly less accurate at tank killing, but adds buckets of s7ap2, as well as providing an extra weapon to destroy before your tank become useless.

Tacticals: PC's are os cheap on tacs because they suck. If you must, move them to devs, one each, to gain the signum benefit, and scatter less. Missiles are free, and with the points saved, you can buy combi's for your sarges. No loss in CC, since a bp wouldn't buff your attacks anyway. i'd drop the third, as tacs aren't to killy for the points. Swap for another sternguard as above.

Devs: Lascannons are overpriced on devs, at least in the vanilla codex. If you didn't move the cannons here, then leave one las for the signum, and swap the rest to Missiles.

Overall savings should net you 2 MM/HF speeders to deal with AV14 without getting out.

Though honestly, SW does razorspam better.

HQ is expensive when fully kitted. I would look at a librarian.

If you want las spammage, then I would look at a land raider and termies, with the libby in terminator armour rather than the sternguard. Expensive, but nice.

Tac squads don't really need the power fist.

Lascannon upgrade for devs is fluffy for your list but pretty expensive.

Yeah Lascannons on Devs in fact Devs at all are mnassively over priced in this codex. Swap them out for 3 Hybrid preeds.

Sure you lose 2 lascannons that way but gain 3 autocannons and 100 points (ignoring the Lasbacks which is another 150 points).

As for the Las-backs. Assault Cannons are statistcally better against both armour and infantry so there is never a reason to ever take the Las-cannon. Whilst Las-plas grants awesome anti-Heavy Infantry fire and retains anti-vehcile prowess.

Swap all your razorbacks for one of those combinations.

Also you're assuming the Assault cannons are in range. As he's playing lascannon spam I guess he wants to be quite far from the enemy.

Given the dimensions of the board and the number of vehicles he has I doubt much of his army will be out of a 24" range for more than 1 shooting phase and if it was he would almost certainly be able to move into range.

There is no reason to ever take the twin linked lascannon razorback. Tak ethe TL AssCan or the Las plas always.

His post is accurate, and tactically correct. Don't tak TL las backs. A good mix of AssCans and las plas backs will be good. Are the sternguard in a transport..? They're great and I use them in my vanilla lists, but they die just like normal marines.

Too many points on the HQ.

Land speeders and maybe a dread would work well. (I like my Ironclad's personally )

..and don't take las/plas either in vanilla codex because to fire both the Razorback must stay still, it's not Blood Angels you know

Captain as others have said has too many wargear options. Take a relic blade for S6 goodness and a storm shield and you're done. Better yet is a Librarian..

You don't need power fists on the Sgts because more likely than not you won't be assaulting because you will be getting out the tank.

Thanks for the input folks... the list will stay as it is... this list is mostly for nostalgia and modeling purposes... I used to run lists like this when I was playing a year or two ago.

Make no mistake though... I am considering all your information and suggestions... I'll probably pick up the BA and SW books to see what I can make from there.

I'm not forcing people to give me feedback (I don't think my original post asked for any feedback)... I welcome the ideas and suggestions and stuff...I'm not turning any of it down... I just won't apply it to this list. I just thought I'd share. Sorry if anyone is butthurt that you felt you had to type a response to this thread.

Yeah I'm excited to see what lists I can make with either of them it will be a little refreshing from mostly making vanilla marines and IG lists.

Yeah I know your not. My point is anyone that does is wasting there breath because you're not going to take onboard said suggestions anyway. Some are pretty good ideas, especially about the Captain with a power fist.

When you put up Angels and Wolves lists I will take a look then.
