Ok me and a couple of friends are wanting to get into a fantasy or 40k based RPG type of game.

Weve looked at DH, RT, Deathwatch, Necromunda, Mordheim, and the WFRPG.

My question is, is there any RPG or any rules that have come out based on this lore that has the ability to take like for 40k lets say a one SM or you could control a squad of guardsmen, and have the choice of being mroe then one being?

Were we could play equally as a strong solo character or multiple weak ones.

Or is there any game that allows you to do this to have strong characters or weak squads and all be equal in-game wise??

I would like to be able to play as sort of a deathmatch and also has a GM for weird events for NPC's, any type of game that does this?

You could try and house rule something but being new I wouldn't recommend it. You'll either need to play your own character (RPG) or each person have a squad (Necromunda. Mordhiem).

Amidst the mists and coldest frosts he thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts.

Necromunda/Mordheim are skirmish based games with limited RPG elements. The 40K RPG games are full-blown RPG's - one character each, very detailed rules, etc - and not made for squad level engagements.

It would be easier, in my opinion, to adapt a detailed squad-based set of rules from the 40K RPG's than to reverse engineer Necromunda/Mordheim into a more detailed squad-based RPG, but in either case it would require work.
