I am a new Beastmen player, and I love the models, but why is there no model for the Ghorgon?!?!?

Also, does anyone have any good conversion ideas? I was thinking about using the Balrog from the LOTR miniatures...

1.) Nowadays they leave some unit models open for future second waves or scratchbuilders.
2.) This one by Maelstrom, released on 2nd April, is the best model you can get for some time:

I mostly play at a local GW, how do they look on using models like this? I mean they create in a book a certain character then don't provide a model. If you just are no good at converting they leave you no option. IMO if you put it in a book make a model, if you don't want to make a model don't put it in the book. I could just not use the character, but if I spent $30 or now near $40 on a book, I want to use everything in it.

Thus, After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd

The same reason there is no model for Tervigon, Tyrannofex, Harpy, Dark Eldar Venom, both their aircraft and all of the haemonculi themed units. There just isn't enough time to make all of that stuff in one go, so they release it in waves. And honestly, I know that they are a different game system, but they need that stuff more then our overpriced cannon magnet. New Beastmen chariots would be more welcome to me.

The Beastmen centric forum, the herdstone, has a painting and modeling section where you can see some folks conversions or proxy models.

I use the WoC Shaggoth as a proxy and no one complains.

Like what was said before me, its a dual not enough time to make the model/let the people make it up themselves. Same witht the Hellpit Abomination from the Skaven army, before it acutally got its own model.

It happens with all armies, a lot of times with individual characters. I kit bashed a Gor-Rok model for my Lizardmen army. Its acutally a good bit of fun and a good challenge.
