Saw a topic a while ago about what marine armies people played and the majority said they played a chapter they created and as one of those people I was wondering what your chapters story was?

I play a Blood Angels Successor Chapter called the Blood Rouges, inspired by Star Wars rogue Squadron.

The idea is that they are a chapter of battle brothers overcome with blood lust but not yet mad enough for Death Company. They are the chapter called in for missions with a low chance of survivability and they complete their mission and manage to make it out alive.

They are a chapter of exiles from all other blood angels chapters and their chapter master, Antilles, served in the Flesh Tearers under Gabriel Seth before being moved to the Rogues.

Bout as far as Ive got. I play a "counts as" Gabriel Seth for Antilies and I have a Mephiston "Counts as" called Lazeron the Lightning cloak as a unique chapter hero. The name was kind of a joke, but I ended up keeping it. Model for Lazeron is in my gallery.

well i dont have a link but they are pretty much a succesor chapter of the raven guard and are . they are the space marines that prefer to ambush the enemy rather than just charge right in...oh here we go just made a pic

Mine are Imperial Fist successors with close bonds to both the Imperial Fists and the Space Wolves.

Due to some tampering with the gene seed to try to fix the flaws the Imperial Fists have (like they can't spit acid and a few others) the Inquisition has a forttress in the system to keep an eye on their assests. More so since the Captain of the 2nd and 8th both rebelled and took their battle company with them. The captain of the 8th was swiftlly betrayed by the captain of the 2nd. Many squads were killed before leaving with many countermeasures being used against them, including the entire priesthood of the chapter (chaplains) fighting together in a unit to prevent the heretics escape.

Thats their main thing. That and having a jetbike grand master.

Scions of Glacius. Still working on building the chapter one day, thinking of also changing the founding legion and the stuff about alot of armor but not sure yet.

Well since the topic question is just "what is your chapter's background", I just throw mine out there. Nothing to original, I went with Crimson Fists. I read the book Rynn's World and was hooked. No special rules marines just a basic chapter on the edge of extinction. I'm running with a Kantor list with 2 sternguard squads. One of my tacticals is lead by Capt Cortez (vet sarg rules) and several others are named from the book. I like having the book there for reference and, yes I am picking up some orks to maybe do an oposing force.

Short story of my DIY Space Wolves is that they were originally two Wolf Lords, one which specialized in finding and training new recruits, kinda like Wolf Priests, and one who originally was an Iron Priest, who swore an oath with a Dark Angel during a feast. They claimed that nothing was impossible for the men of Fenris, while the Dark angel strongly disagreed. Ærling(one of the Wolf Lords) said, for the entire Chapter to hear, that he would voyage the stars for an eternity in search of Fenris' equals. The other Wolf Lord, Snorre, didn't want to be any worse and thus said that he wold supply any aspirants with the best equipment, for they would surely need it, he claimed. And such was born the Voyagers of Eternities(other suggestions appreciated), the only Space Wolves who does not recruit from Fenris.

I play a blood angels successor chapter as well called the Misfits, based on the punk band. Basic fluff is they are Misfits that operate on an unconventional basis i guess like the space wolves. Allies of the angry marines as well. Have to make that tac squad of angry marines now that i think of it.
