Definitly not fair.

Orks have literally not other anti-tank besides Deffrollas and Rokkits(and rokkits really can't be counted when BS is 2)

and orks pay for those PKs.

a Nob unit can get 10, but thats rocking in at at least 1k points for a single squad.

It won't be a problem at all if they also ban Land Raiders and Monoliths.

If this is actually a rules question, then there's no limit, nor has there ever been.

If this is a house rule, then it's one of the stupidest I've ever heard. Why take an army that already suffers at tank-popping and gimp it further by limiting the number it can take of its primary tank-popping weapon? Cue Land Raider spam from every Blood Angels and Vanilla Marines player at your store, followed by nobody ever playing Orks there again.

and even then, 10 PKs that GLANCE on 6s against vehicles(5s when the orks charge)

sure you will get some damage results, but it really isn't an issue.

i could see them banning diversification, but not limiting PKs(all PKs isn't all that good either)

no, i said i heard the guys at the GW talking about taking it out the codex and all. even the guys that work there said so. what with all the new stuff, they want to clean other armys up as well.

If anything, the Ork codex needs a buff these days. Why ban or limit anything in the codex? They'd be taking a marginally competitive one-trick pony and, by eliminating that one trick, turning it into a bunch of big green Necrons.

Of course, if you want as many PKS as possible you could have 10 for 400 points in Meganob squads. If you're really feeling crazy, you can even get 5 squads of them out of a standard force chart in order to hit 50 Pks at about 2250, after warbosses.

Why would they remove PKs?

PKs are about as orky as you can get.

I feel like this is an unfounded worry.

Limit to what number? 20? 10? 5? 2?

Anyways, I don't think any army in the whole game actually has to adjust its strategy based on how many PK the ork player brings...

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

Sounds great. Lets take the bolters and land raiders from the marines. And Imperial tanks are too powerful - we'll only allow 1 of those. One monster for the nids. Reduce the number of characters for space wolves as well.

You might as well play chess.

On a more serious note, this is rather pointless. I can't think that GW would do this; the ork codex is too recent to worry about.

Mind you, they did retro-nerf Thorek Ironbrow in an FAQ, so anything's possible.

i never said it was forsure, all i said was i heard GW staff talk about it. so it could be a rumor, but this post isnt BS.

i play a very CC strong army with almost no gun use other then my rokkits and grotzookas, so the PK limit would devistate my tactics. depending on the limit though, it might not be that bad when playing a scrub that goes ALL PK's. never know lol

If they banned PF, stuff that acts like PF, dreadnaught CC weapons, and everything else melee that ups strength then that's ok.

If it's a GW store then you might as well just start laughing though, they can't tell a friggin gaunt from a carifex and shouldn't be relied on for anything but a laugh.

Annnnd lets get rid of all power weapons too. Since PK are one of only two ways for an ork to get one of those.

...how would banning everything that ups strength (furious charge, power fists, et cetera) make banning power klaws okay?

That makes the whole thing decidedly less okay.

Banning anything at all is entirely not okay. We can't make it okay by banning more things.

Under the couch

This isn't really a rules issue. If your store is implementing a house rule that you're not keen on, the place to discuss that is at the store.

If you were just looking to discuss the idea, that would be better suited to Proposed Rules.
