The Maul in the Mall is a Games Workshop Circuit Event including :
A 2000 point, 80 PERSON MEGA 40k Rogue Trader Tournament
A 2150 Point, 50 Person Fantasy Rogue Trader Tournament

For what it's worth, in three rounds, assuming winning players always play winning players, there could only end up being a maximum of 10 3-0-0 players. If there are any draws that happen, that will further reduce the number of players who won all of their games.
Though, Dash does have a point. With 80 players in three rounds, it would be pretty easy to end up with 4-5, maybe a couple more, players who are all 3-0-0.

For the most part (in nearly all of the Dicehead tournies I've been to) it's never W/L/D. There's room for error and those that go undefeated (like my brother and I did in the last Team Tourney), more often than not, don't have full battle points.

Yeah guys, its a RTT, not a swiss style tournament. RTTs have soft scores (sportsmanship, paint, etc) so even if you massacre all your opponents you will just get best general, not guaranteed best overall.

The Rogue trader aspect of it separates the "Best Overall" that includes painting, sports, theme and game points.
There are usually at least 3 players that go 3-0-0 at Maul but there is always a clear "Best Overall"

Indeed! I'm quite familiar with the multiple components to an RTT - I was just pondering having 80 people and 10 of them going 3-0 and vying for Best General.
