Just wanted to know how people out there use him and what the armies he brings are made up of.

Looking for tips and advice.

Are you talking about Ghazghkull Thraka from the Ork codex?

Eternal Plague

Higher point games- think about 1750 and up are good starting points.

Best use of him is three fold in this popular build:

1. Mech him up in a Battlewagon. The best delivery system is via transport as sloggin' is slow. Make sure transports have redundancy (more than one BW), and that there is a Big Mek with KFF riding around somewhere to give the vehicle a bubble. Make sure the units in transports are divided evenly in "threat." So don't put Ghaz, a unit of Nobs, and the Big Mek in one Battlewagon. Easy target.

2. Use his Waaagh! for maximum carnage. It's fearless for all Orks and 6" automatic fleet. Use it for your climatic charge or when you think it is absolutely needed.

3. Separate him in movement phase on the Waaagh! as his own mini-death star unit. He gets seven attacks on the charge with that 2++ save. 4 wounds, eternal warrior, and all his attacks are powerklaws at strength 10.

You could also look for Dashofpepper's battle reports, he uses Ghazghkull quite a lot.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

Feasting on the souls of unworthy opponents

Heya.

I run a very successful Ghazghkull-led Waaaugh!

Feel free to check out some of my battle reports in my signature. They've got my list, and more importantly, how I use it to defeat different challenges.

I second Dash's use of ghazkull.

Few Characters can best Ghazkull 1 on 1

Comparing tournament records is another form of e-peen measuring.

I have played him at 1500 pts or higher, not less.

He doesn't require many tactics to be effective. Just make sure he is transported. No one in their right mind will assault him.
