Here is my go at a new list not consisting of all bikes. Any criticism or comments would be awesome! Ghaz and Mad Dok will be in the nobz mob riding in the Battlewagon. Snikrot and his gang will be 18 inches from the enemy on a flank. Lootas based in cover with good fire lanes. The 3 battlewagons will push forward hard and try to shoot 'em up as they rush in. 77 Models total.

I would really really consider swapping the Dok out for a KFF Mek. Battlewagons aren't that survivable without it.

Are you telling us that this is your competitive 2k Ork list, or asking how to make this 2k ork list competitive?

This is the competitive list. Also I hear everything about the mek with KFF but I enjoy Fluff in my army. So I enjoy seeing Mad Dok and Ghaz together!

You may enjoy it, but without a Mek, those Wagons are only deceptively sturdy. Their side armor is easy to reach and open-topped AV12 is only tough until you get a volley of MLs aimed your way. KFF saves the day in that case.

And you NEED those Battlewagons to survive, at least long enough to get their cargo in position, otherwise you're paying points for deathtraps for your Boyz. KFF is the staple of Wagon-spam and don't leave home without it.

Lootas are good, very good units, but Ork Kommandos never impressed me much. With Snikrot, against specific armies, they're murder, but it's all relative to what you face. Sometimes it'll happen they won't do anything at all.

Your Nobz are great at popping vehicles in assault and against GEQ infanty, but you already have Boyz for that job and they're not diversified and they don't have access to Painboy so no FNP. You're paying a lot of points for something that will quickly die to massed bolter fire, a volley of MLs and equivalents. Not to mention all those nasty S7 attacks will hit like a breeze against anything with a 3+/2+ save. I love Nobz, but my suggestion is to diversify them and add a Painboy in, it boosts their survivability by a massive amount. You'll see what I mean soon enough if you playtest it.

Also, your upgrades...you don't need those 'Eavy armors on your Nobz in the squads of Boyz. They can't be singled out, so unless you choose to put a wound on them voluntarily, that improved save won't even come into play. And if they manage to remain one-man-standing, they'll usually die just as well, because they're just one T4 model.

Also those 'Ard Boyz...okay, some people swear by them. But I've never been convinced. Usually you're getting 4+ save from shooting anyway, because you're in cover and in CC it's undeniably useful, but I don't think it's worth the point cost. Or rather, I think Codex: Orks has a lot more useful things you can put in your list for those points. Like another Buzzsaw Kopta, which is a terrific unit.

And finally, those kannons on your Battlewagons shouldn't get to shoot at all, because you'll be madly rushing toward your opponent's army throwing curses in the name of Gork and Mork not stopping to shoot that big gun you have packing on your vehicle. Throw in a big shoota or two in there, so you have some defense against Weapon Destroyed results, but other than that, Wagons shouldn't be shooting at things, in my opinion.

Well, if you're happy with a fluffy list, post that in your title. Because Competitive is a poor choice of a word.

Yeah, I agree with Dash. This list has a lot of fat, and could be tweaked pretty hard to be more competitive.

But if you'd like us to say it's an interesting army that would be fun to play, we can do that.

Well, I want a list that won't get curb stomped the 2nd turn. But also I don't want to smash my opponent to where the game isn't fun. So I would like it to be competitive also being fluffy. I was basically wondering how well y'all thought this list could/would do. I wasn't sure what to put exactly for the title =D
