Yeowch, 58.95p per litre in taxes. Plus an extra 20% on top of that for VAT.

I guess I should be glad our taxes over here are only about 50 cents per gallon.

It's forbiddingly expensive to top your gas tank here.

Besides, all of the major oil companies here fix their prices.

1 euro 36 c per liter - and that's diesel.
I don't exactly know what regular petrol costs in this country, but I believe it's passed the 1,70 mark - per liter...

Usually diesel is more expensive Bran.

However, £1.40 ish seems the regular here now.
Doing 200-250 miles a day at work really pushes prices up.

@Jack Britain is one of the only countries in the world where diesel is Mo' expensive. edit: Bad at flags but i assume it Netherlands but continenetal European countries ahve diesel as the cheaper alternative.

Odd, its not something ive really looked into before i guess.

Saying that though, Britain seems to be one of the most heavily taxed places.

Diesel is around €1,30 per litre.

Regular is passing the €1,60 per litre.

Here in the States it tends to fluctuate, sometimes Diesel is more expensive, sometimes it's cheaper. I assume that this is because Diesel has a more static demand than unleaded and is less likely to fluctuate.

Although it could be a conspiracy by the oil companies, I'm open to other interpretations.
