It is the 3rd Millennium. For more than a hundred months Games Workshop has sat immobile on the Golden Throne of Nottingham. It is the foremost of wargames by the will of the neckbeards, and master of a million tabletops by the might of their inexhaustible wallets. It is a rotting carcass writhing invisibly with business strategies from the early Industrial Revolution Age. It is the Carrion Lord of the wargaming scene for whom a thousand veteran players are sacrificed every day, so that it may never truly die. Yet even in its deathless state, GW continues its eternal vigilance. Mighty battleforce starter-sets cross the online-store-infested miasma of the internet, the only route between distant countries, their way lit by a draconian retail trade-agreement, the legal manifestation of the GW's will. Vast armies of lawyers give battle in GW's name on uncounted websites. Greatest amongst its soldiers are the Guardians of the IP, the Legal Team, bio-engineered super-donkey-caves. Their comrades in arms are legion: the writing team and countless untested rulebooks, the ever vigilant redshirts, and the writers of White Dwarf, to name only a few. But for all their multitudes, they are barely enough to hold off the ever-present threat from other games, their own incompetence, Based Chinaman - and worse. To support Games Workshop in such times is to spend untold billions. It is to support the cruelest and most dickish company imaginable. These are the tales of those times. Forget the power of sales discounts and Warhammer Fantasy Battle, for so much has been dropped, never to be re-published again. Forget the promise of cheaper digital content and caring about the fanbase, for in the GW HQ there is only profit-seeking, Space Marines and Sigmarines. There is no fun amongst the hobby shops, only an eternity of raging and spending, and the laughter of former employees who left GW to join better companies. |

Alright so the PKs are dead, now tell me how you plan to deal with all the boyz? Even with Fearless wounds they still have the advantage, in 40k Quantity generally beats Quality unless the Quality is an Apoc unit.
Overall you're going to have a hard time, Apoc generally isn't about small armies, even if you're spamming Titans.
Massed Fire Dragons would whip this list. In fact why are you taking so few models in Apoc?
|
Also littlenibbler Orks aren't about armour saves.
Orks are about having too many models on the table, and wasting the other guy's time with your movement phase.
Orks are about having the toughest units on the table.
Orks are about not caring about how many bodies are left in a long winding trail until the squad is down to less than a third its starting strength.
Orks are about rolling more dice then you can count without the aid of a calculator or a pen and paper.
Orks are about having totally fething insane characters tearing gak down like Doc Grotsnik, Ghazghkull or Snikrot.
Orks are about being too fething awesome to die...

Because it's not Apoc? Automatically Appended Next Post: I have the feeling you're looking for a fun list for the tourney, and as it's KP, maybe consider dropping 2 of the assassins (as they aren't legal) and beefing up the paladin squads. Add points, etc.
I know I could say "Paladins technically not as good as blah blah" But I can tell your heart is set on them, so I say go for it!

I don't know why, but this thread amuses me
So if my math is correct, your grey knight wall of paladins would have to kill 15.625 boys EACH........wow

3,000 points is generally assumed to be Apoc.

Well, I already implied pretty blatantly that you cannot have 3 of the same assassin, but if he doesn't want to read that, more power to him I guess.

If assassins are unique as in 1 of each, add a Callidus assassin. Nothing like a whisper to put some poor unit in a crappy spot and then mayhem in their back lines.

Except for the part where they don't have that ability any more. Really, let's all sit back and read the codex before we talk about lists.

As every one seems to point out your lack of troops I think you should be fine, I would find it unlikely to face 500 Orks in a match, but they do have a point so maybe TAGK w/ Incinerators.

You could afford personal teleporters on the dreadknights, making sure you get your turn 1 charge, and also get the jump infantry move on them.
That would leave you with 65 pts to spare. Nemesis greatsword isn't to shabby.
