Hey guys,

Why do plastic CSM all seem to be in MVII armour? I mean I understand that perhaps GW wants people to be able to model Red Corsairs and renegades and the like... but if most CSM are from the old legions, surely they should be wearing armour from the time of the heresy?

Fluff aside, it would be nice if CSM could be differentiated more and hell, if GW re-released a new boxset in which the CSM are wearing a mish-mash of old armour, they'd increase sales as Space Marine players raid them for bitz...

What do you think? Would a mish-mash of Corvus, Heresy and Great Crusade armour look good? Maybe a HANDFUL of MVII suits? I mean I believe that fluff even says that CSM covet the MVII armour...

Making everyone in mk II armor saves GW money in molds since they only have to make one or two body sets.

Ask yourself: have you rated a gallery image today?

It's because that is the image that is marketed. When people these days see Space Marines, they see MK VII armour.

Well said sir, some heresy-era armour would be great, but since when has G.W listened to it's customer

"He was already dead when I killed him!"

Actually, they aren't wearing MKVII. Note the lack of knee-pads.

They actually seem to be mostly MK IV without the studs. (which is the armour version you'd expect to see on most of them)
