Hey, I was fighting Grey Knights earlier with my Tyranids, and the guy I fought had 3 psychic hoods in his army. Whenever I tried to use a psychic power, he claimed that I had to get past all 3 psychic hoods, so in the entire game I only had 2 successful checks make it through. I have a seriously difficult time believing that they stack, but I can't find it in the rules (and I did a quick search of YMDC and couldn't find an answer). Was this rotten cheating, or are psychic hoods just stupidly effective?

Does that apply to Daemonhunters too though (since the Codex takes precedence)?

If you're talking about the older Daemonhunter codex (and not the newer Grey Knights codex that will be coming out soon), then there is no restriction on the use of multiple psychic hoods. They can use multiple hoods. However, by doing so, he may be tailoring his list against you. Few people would take more than 1 hood, and only the HQ's have LD 10 hoods. Others only have LD 9 or 8 hoods.

it is the same for the old DH except that the range is the table not 24".

the new GK codex has the same wording as the SM

Edit: no i believe that even the old ones still are only allowed to use it once.

But just the old ones, right. IIRC the newer codices all say that if an enemy psyker is in range of "one or more" models with a psychic hood or runic weapon, the SM/SW player get a chance to stop the power.

Ok... wow, that is just ridiculous. Thank God they lose that in a couple weeks...
