This thread is to add a bit of variety to the lives of your fellow painters. I find myself wanting to try my hand at different armies so I'm sure at lest a few of you do as well. Instead of going out and buying a box set to play around with we can turn to our fellow dakka-ites. I’m sure everyone out there has at least one or two miniatures you no longer want or have no interest in painting, so why not brighten someone else day. The way this would work is you sign up to be a part of the thread with an "I'M IN". When you join just scroll up to the person above you with an "I'M IN" post and that is your "buddy". Send a PM, get an address and send off a miniature you can live without. The miniature can be anything from a gretchin to a titan it’s your call. When you receive your miniature take a picture as a before then paint it to your best standard. Once you are done painting post up a side by side and the dakka name of the person who sent it to you. The miniature is then yours to keep and cherish as a physical expression of the love of the hobby. If this works I think it could be a lot of fun. Feel free to have as many "buddies" as you want and sign up repeatedly if you find this fun. So since this is my idea I'll start this up...
