If a lot of powerful psykers committing mass suicide creates a super being that even gods fear, then why hasn't anyone else done it? Surely the Eldar could create an even more powerful "Emperor".

They did, it's called Slaanesh, and it's trying to eat them.

Lol'd. That can go in my sig for a while.

Also, generally if a bunch of psykers die their souls either go to the Emperor or are eaten by the warp. The Eldar save their souls in stones and later dump them into a communal area, and it is thought that they might manifest as Ynnead and defeat Slaanesh.

It was not just regular psykers who dies to make the emperor.

as I recall, it was a group of people who when they dies their souls would pass through the warp and then they would re-incarnate. By all dying at the same time, their souls all re-incarnated into the same body, creating the emperor.

That happens with any psyker or sufficiently strong willed being with a warp presence. Or rather, it can, but the warp's a much more hostile place at this point, meaning they're more likely to get eaten by daemons than reincarnate.

If it's only psykers that re-incarnate that can cause this effect then they are, by definition, a finite resources... unless every now and then someone is born with a new soul with the power to reincarnate. If this is not the case then until the Emperor dies we're fresh out of suitable Psykers

They don't get eaten by the Daemons, they become the Daemons. When Daemons die, they become new psykers.

The problem is, you need to have enough completely selfless people sacrifice themselves to a greater cause, and do so willingly. In the current Galaxy, the truly selfless can't survive, and all of these selfless people need to be powerful psykers.

Maybe... someday, there will be enough good for a new Emperor to rise...

But I don't think Tzeentch would let that happen.

Where did you get that little theory from?

It's more of an inferrence for how, if there is a supposedly limited supply of usable psykers, where they are going.

An attempt to work out how 10,000 years have gone by without running out of psykers, based on the theories previously established in this thread.

I could be wrong, and I'm prepared to be wrong.

Psykers are not finite...
I suppose it is something in their genotype but we'll never know.

Then I am wrong about psykers being finite, but the second statement still stands:

Tzeentch would not allow a new Emperor to be created, and none of the Four Gods would allow a new Chaos God to be created. Their dining hall is already too crowded.

And we all tough that Daemons are immortal.
And I think that the Inquisition and Imperial Creed won't allow that either, there can only be one Emperor.
And why are you people akking this? This one is not dead, at least his soul isn't... and if he die he would probably reincarnate.

For Emperor and Imperium!!!!

The Emperor doesn't have a GKs unshakable faith in the Emperor which is....basically himself?

He may not have a choice in the matter.
The Chaos gods are essentially hugely powerful daemons, so powerful no mortal can even comprehend defeating them. They are essentially gods however they can be killed the Emperor is one such individual who could do that.
He is however indisposed at the moment.

Eye of Terra.

The Emperor was created, according to one branch of fluff, by many psyker/shaman thousands of years ago who voluntarily gave up their lives for the sake of humanity.

A very important point.

There are rumors of his 'rebirth'. In what form this would take is unknown. Psykers have been 'fed' by the billions to the Astronomicon for millenia. What form the Emperor would take with such a black history is open for debate.

Daemons can't be killed except by another daemon (which is more like absorbing than killing) the daemons we seen are just bodies containg the daemons "soul". when they are killed the daemon returns to the warp. The best you can do is disperse a daemons warp energy but it will eventually reform into another daemon.

The reason you can't create an emperor version 2 is that there are too many daemons eating any souls that appear in the warp before they return.

Daemons can be destroyed or at least rendered into their component pieces, not just banished back into the warp. Eisenhorn obliterates a daemonhost so thoroughly as to completely destroy the daemon inside it in a fit of rage at having been tricked by another daemonhost into banishing it, thus freeing it from its servitude.
