Which Space Marine chapter are the ones on green/white armor in the begining of the game? It says on their shoulder pads III and there's a dragon/bird thing on the other shoulder...

They aren't Dark Angles (no robes, and they're the 1st chapter), the only other ones that comes to mind are the Salamanders, but they are the 13th...

Any ideas?

I started re-playing this game (it's a guilty pleasure, like the first Killzone) and it's bugging me every time I see one

Thanks!

Gathering the Informations.

The Raptors.

Same ones which were involved in the Taros campaign.

The III on their shoulderpads has nothing to do with the Chapter/Legion. It has to do with squad designation.

Inboud...

Yup, Raptors Chapter marines. Always liked their colourscheme, and FW now make a number of accessories and transfers, to make collecting them even easier.

And the game is SOOOOO unrealistic. One Fire Warrior kills 500+ Imperial Guardsman ( including stormtroopers ), 12+ Space Marines ( witch 2 of them are in CC ), numerous CSM ( even with that Rail Gun there is no way ), Titan ( LOL ), 2 Daemon princes ( ) and as a finale the Greater Daemons of Tzeentch ( ).

The Emperor doesn't have a GKs unshakable faith in the Emperor which is....basically himself?

lol.

Like 40k has anything even remotely realistic in it anyway.

Space elves that have guns that shoot ninja stars.
7'/8'/9'/10 (day-o) generically engineered stupid humans that have guns that fire rockets with a warhead made from heavy water, that explode after they punch into you.

Yeah, that's realism.

you could have just said "sado-masochistic space elves THAT ARE COOL" to blow 40k's realism out of the water

I played that game a long time ago, and I admit I got too scared to finish it (I got past the Titan, but don't remember much else) so that could be the biggest factor in my confusion.

However, I don't get the reason for the abduction of the Tau Ethereal in the first place. How could the Raptors be so easily manipulated? As far as I know, chapters aren't easily taken with just following orders given by anyone outside the chapter (barring the Inquisition and the like of course), so why was the whole manipulation of the Imperium so easy? The more I got into Warhammer 40k, the less this game's plot made sense to me.

I'm not saying it wasn't a fun game, and I wouldn't be surprised if the answer is "its a game". But its been so long and since I didn't finish it I figured I would ask if I was just missing something.

It's totally realistic.

He just used weighted dice

/EDIT/

Or better yet, he rerolled every time he didn't like a result, that's a better portrayal.

Yes, I could, but I have friends who are dominatrices, and they ARE cool people. Who will beat you to within an inch of your life - and then take that inch - if you cross them - and you WILL enjoy every excruciating second of it.

not sure if thats a threat or a recomendation

but yeah, FW wasn't all that realistic in other ways tho. It didn't bother me too much, considering how incredibly grateful I was someone made a Tau FPS

The IoM was trying to figure out if Tau had any Psykers or any presence in the Warp.

I don't remember the game being so hard/irratating. That game has one of the most broken save systems EVER lol...but I can't stop playing it

In the game's (flimsy) defense, a lot of the fluff and books has odds that would be laughable on the tabletop.

Thigh it would be fun to have a game in which 1 terminator captain would almost surely die after facing 5 burna boyz and then 30 gretchin.

In Boxing matches, you actually get paid to take a dive and make the other guy look good.

In Warhammer 40K, you're expected to pay cash out of your pocket for the privilege of having Marines and IG trample all over your Xenos/Chaos.

No, as stated, I have several dominatrices as friends.
They wouldn't know Slaanesh from Satre.

They aren't gamers - but MANY of their subs are.
