Could we perhaps start getting an in-frame popup with the posting standards for subforums that continually have "violations"--like the constant posting of peoples' army fiction in 40k Background?

This may sound a bit silly/obnoxious--but it really seems like people don't actually read the stickies, unless the rules would be crammed into their face.

Those who post crap would ignore them still, the only people who it would affect are those who would read them anyway, and it would simply annoy them.

I don't really see it as a repetitive thing, it just tends to be that newer users don't read the subforum rules.

I'm not up on programming/websites, but is it possible to have something like "Hi! It's your first time posting in this subforum, here are the rules..." that pops up on their first visit to an area?

While possible technically, most annoying people would just close it or ignore it and continue being stupid

Why would you be by yourself?

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

You can wear the special helmet, don't worry Silver!

I think Lego's pretty much put this idea to bed, lock it up mods!
