Rackham's universe is not dead, it still exists through Cadwallon: City of thieves, a great board games published by FFG.

The goal is simple: each player controls a gang of thieves venturing in a district of Cadwallon to loot all they can before the watch surround the district.

The games mechanics are easy, the material is of great quality. (some models are plastic recasts from Confrontation models)

It's a really good game, in fact it's good enough to get me interested in board games again.

If you can find a copy of the original Cadwallon in French and get some one fluent to translate it for you, it's actually the best game R ever did.

The English translation version is so badly translated, it messes up the rules.

That said, I've yet to play the new FFG board game.

I have all the Cadwallon (the so-called RPG,not the boardgame) books home, but I'm not fluent enough (and patient too) to translate it. There's one point however: the rules were originally messed up in the French version (honestly I have never read a worst rulebook)

I'm surprised you consider it the best game R made, as it was seen here as their worst release (appart from the last Confrontation version and the pre-painted plastic crap that came with it).
The background however was interesting.

Anyway, Give a try to the board game, it's really great!
