If your username is a word you made up, which didn't previously exist, you can claim copyright in it.

For example, I have been using Kilkrazy as an electronic handle since about 1980. AFAIK the word did not exist until I made it up as my handle.

There are several other Kilkrazys online, which can be looked up on Google.

However it would be rather difficult for me to prevent them from using my name, since I would have prove my ownership somehow, and persuade their ISP to deregister their accounts.

Also everyone would think I was a knob end.

This UN is my intentionally vague one. It's a common french word so makes it tough to google.

My others (on other places, not sockpuppets) are unique names, so work out much better.

FWIW, I have the third result on google images for "plaguetower," on the second page for "fething magnets" (the Captain Planet one), and a couple of results in the top two pages for LOLGagas

It is also a fairly common first and last name. Don't know if you can claim you made it up.

I've been using Wolfun on and off since 1998 or so.
A game was released in 2003 that uses "Wolfun", too (Kya or something), but my formspring is the third hit on Google.
A lot of my other stuff is on there, too.

Apparently Grabzak is a popular name in russian, or a famous person, I cannot tell. It is also somebody's username on Literotica (That's not my bag!!)
