Looking for a reasonable price for W+N Kolinsky sables in the UK.
My local art shop thinks it's not ridiculous to charge £16 for a 2/0 (00).
I thought about buying direct from w+n, but thier prices seem more expensive than some online retailers O_o
Bottom line, I'm looking for a decent stockist, who charges reasonable prices and has reliable delivery times, preferably with a decent range of other useful goods so I'm not waiting for a million and one packages from different suppliers.

WN Kolinsky are expensive no matter where you look for them
Do they have to be WN or would be open to Kolinsky sable from another manufacturer?
Amazon have been good to me for WN series 7 Kolinsky but the saving still ended with me paying £85.00 for a size 7 or 8 brush.

Buying kolinsky online is a dodgy business, you run the risk of ending up paying for a brush that doesn't have a natural perfect point or which will have the cap fall off in transit and be ruined meaning you could end up having to return it and get a new one or at worst be stuck with it.
If you have the option, going to a store and hand picking the perfect one is the way to go. Even if it cost 5 pound more, it could be better then ending up with the problem above.
Are there no other nearby art stores you could check? Sometimes they have them hidden away from grubby public hands, if you called up some local ones you could be surprised what is in their stock room

GeeDub's brushes are Kolinsky now, have been for a year or so. Id look to them unless you want a specific brush.

Check EM4. They have a line of Kolinsky Sable for very reasonable prices. Still quite a bit more than synthetic, but likely cheaper than anywhere else.
